Car camping with a Napier Sportz Cove (61500 model) tent. Fits nicely, easy setup, and makes for cavernous car camping for 2.

Hah, I don't even mind. Because it was as functional as heck!

:) Ya, as a guy who does sleep in the back of his LC (I do), I can see the usefulness of this. Just couldn’t resist the Aztek thing. That was such a goofy vehicle! Honestly, I’m interested, as it would actually have been pretty helpful in Baja and Cruise Moab...where’d I was sleeping in my truck most nights.

I think it would be much MORE useful if it created a full height “wall” from the end of the “roof” to the ground...which would provide a place to dress in the morning, etc. with a bit of privacy.

There you go Mark, develop it and you'll be rich. I too have one of these and certainly agree that addition would be a game changer for many 200 owners. But wait if you order now we will double your order.....
In fact I'm going to look at conjuring something up this pm using a Kelty Noah's tarp

I had one of those for my 4Runner. I wasn't a fan, it was a dickpain to setup and in windy conditions it would cause issues. I ended up tossing it in the bin. Just my opinion though.

Edit: Mine was a very similar model from the same manufacturer, not that one exactly.

It's the same excuse Aztek's use, function over form! Actually, I personally think it looks pretty cool. Got a lot of interest and kudos from fellow campers asking where to get one. One even asked if my car was a Land Cruiser! I hear you on the enclosed porch. Not a bad idea! Perhaps with the ability too pull the curtains to the side. Honestly, the enclosed area in the vehicle is huge because of the way it walls in the open hatch and tailgate, so changing wasn't a problem.

I also have this alongside so I prefer the open porch:

First time setup takes some figuring out like all tents. After the initial time, it's cake. I could probably do under 5 minutes. Don't even have to stake anything to the ground which is huge. Actually, it works great even in wind. With 3 solid walls from the car, and the tent face being solidly supported by a large hoop, and vehicle. Not a problem. I camp practically every month in either a travel trailer, turbo tent ground tent, and now this. So convenience is huge for me. Like I said, I didn't really have great expectations, but I'm loving this after trying it.

Just so you know, I have had a roof top tent, and camped with it a number of times. I'll take this every time. The RRT is bulky and harder to setup and use in many ways because of the height and bulk. Got rid of it because the logistics and practicality just wasn't there.

It didn't fit my needs and expectations, but if it works for you, godspeed.

I also had one of those privacy tents too, it was a tad small for me (6"1', 190-220 depend on the gym season). If you want to fancy it up, check these out. It's fantastic but takes up a bit more space but are well worth it.
