This should make it easy. I just collected all the parts for the cooling system. This list should cover everything under the hood. View attachment 3720356This also has the parts to retain the rear heater. Red highlighted parts look to be discontinued
NOW I see this... Thanks! Still, I was wondering how I was going to find that mention somewhere of the 100 hoses for the firewall bits that only come with the hardlines--and here it is...

Yeah no problem. The Hose sub-assy. (8720960290) is still available from Toyota, it has the brass T, the hose that runs to that hardline parrallel to the valve cover, and one of the hoses to connect it to the firewall. The 100 series hose (872456A201) can be cut down for the bottom hose off of that brass T.

And a tip on price. If you order online and pickup from your local dealership, it gets cheaper. Ex. I walked in to Concord Toyota, they wanted like $695 +tax. I ordered online and picked up from Walnut Creek Toyota, $420ish +tax. Caught it on a Labor day sale, walked out the door paying $396. Partsouq is my go to for parts. Just try to make a bulk order to spread the shipping out.

Does anyone know what to substitute for "Heater Hose Inlet-A" which--according to Red Line LC--is NLA? And @Cabister -- how many of those 87245-6A201s do I need. Comment in file makes it seem like you cut down one hose to make three?

The 87245-6A201 is from the 100 Series water heater circuit, you only need one then cut to fit (for the FZJ80)
The main segment you need from the 100 Series hose is the almost 90 degree 80 Series hose that runs from the bottom of the water circuit "T" to the right rear 1/2" heater pipe on the firewall. That original 80 Series rear heater hose has never been available as a separate part, it comes with the rear heater pipe assembly (front section).

The other straighter segment of that 100 Series hose can be cut to fit the left side rear heater pipe on the firewall (or you can use 1/2" Gates Green Stripe at that location IME).

Annnd here's the thread where I found that long long ago...

Very helpful! If I'm reading this right, it calls for TWO 16264-66021 hoses, with one of those by the firewall?
US '96 FZJ80 here,
As far as I could tell there is only one 16264-66021 hose. It attaches to the rear tip of the #2 water bypass pipe, running under the throttle body, and seems too long to attach to the rear heater-core feed pipe against the firewall.
The #2 bypass pipe is the skinny tube that runs along the valve cover seam on the driver side, before ducking under your distributor and cutting across the front of your engine right over your belts. It then feeds the small hose that plugs into the thermostat housing.
I used Gates green stripe for both (feed/return) rear heater hoses against the firewall, 1/2" iirc. Worked great, hope this helps.
