So I am training a new guy, red 80 in the background getting a knuckle job. How’s that for a first job!? 😂

Anyways, due to that and running the business I haven’t been cranking on this full time the last few days. However I have gotten organized and all the parts out to build the engine on the stand.

Is that a new timing house case? Or is that just the vapor blasting? Looks better than new.

Nah man, 27yr old piece of Toyota Land Cruiser goodness. Vapor hones and clear cerakote. I love this style of refresh, the vapor and cerakote makes it as smooth as butter to the touch. Its like sheets on your bed with a 400+ thread count! 😂

Hardware not new either, I just cleaned it up.

In the shop late tonight, did this real quick before I left. The screws here are new. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great stuff. I learn a lot from you.

Thats a lot of the point in a build thread. Useful info for ALL and documentation of the full build for the owner.

We all know trucks on BAT sell for more when you got full documentation. 👍

How much would something like this cost me?
Kind of a WAG but full mechanical restoration without any exterior paint or interior work is probably going to be $35k.

Beautiful. I'd love to know the startup and break in you use on these masterpieces.

Got all the old jute off the floor, hardware removed and all cleaned up. Moving into laying down dynamat now.

Not a spot of corrosion anywhere so we can just go for it here.

Cheers
