Sorry for the long story.
Hope it would be intersting.

Epic job done, congrats mate!

PS. May I ask why you did not opt for the swap/transplant of the complete 3F engine, but you just cherry-picked some good parts of it to use with the original 2F?

There were diff reasons.
1. I wish to keep it with 2F but more advanced.
2. I planed to register it as old timer and was done.
3. Mentioned 3F parts i was able to get really fast. As other parts were heavy and in another place.

Nice work!
Here is Finnish 55 with fan clutch.

Your Finnish truck looks to maybe be a 1978 or 1979. If it is a 1979 then the front crossmember could be different. I was told they were in North America. Australia truck is earlier. Maybe there's no need for a fan clutch in hot climates.

The front cross member is different between earlier and later FJ40s to make room for a fan clutch after 8/76 (1977-1984 models).

... I everything cost like a hell!

Truer words were never spoke.

Amazing work, and very inspiring. When I was growing up, my next-door neighbour had a blue/white FJ55. He used to give me and my brother his old 4x4 magazines. I blame him for my love of Land Cruisers: especially this one, which I will start restoring very soon.

Cheers from Canada!
