Do you know if the springs for the kick vents fit earlier years. TPD shows those part numbers fitting 1979-1984. Toyota-USA.Epc Data.com shows 55788-25010 & 55787-25010 NLA

Thanks! I have a 16ga BY wire that is hanging by the battery with a 3" section of red wire at the end of it. In my infinite wisdom, I labled what wires were going somewhere when I gook the cruiser apart.

This one conveniently reads "Red wire by transmission". However, its in the loom by the battery.

What by the battery would have a 12v feed going "by the transmission"?

I don't see anything matching that color. Yellow with black stripe goes to the oil pressure sender, but I can't find a Black with yellow stripe. Got a photo of the location, I'll look again?

In every 40 I've ever dealt with the blk wire yellow stripe is for ING. Certainly my 75 40 is.

Condensor, perhaps? That's the only other thing on the diagram that's a BY over there. Its right next to the ignitor pack two wire plug:

Bottom two are igniter and the top one is ?

Another shot:

Because I was out in the garage in my socks standing on the front bumper, thought I'd take a shot:

Coming together!

Condensor FTW. I didn't clean enough dirt off earlier. BY wire has a single bullet connector, turns into a blue wire on this condensor. Other end of the condenser is black that goes to the alternator/block. There is not much slack when everything is loomed together, made it hard to get you some decent photos.

Ask anything you want, happy to help.

Yes, black from the condensor is just a ground. This may not be stock arrangement, maybe others can chime in if theirs are different?

Ignore my Koito headlight harness and temporary fuel lines...

Engine bay just about wrapped up. I have the temp sensor wire and one more straggler I don't know where it goes.

The valve cover acorn nuts always bugged me, found a new set:

Can I ask where you got the valve cover acorn nuts and especially the washers? My washers are shot and one nut has a hole drilled through it!🤔

Those look like F and F.5 nuts. I think the 2F are different, thanks though. I searched the part no on the bag in @dmaddox pic, but it turns up a vacuum hose clamp. Just went through the partsouq microfiche and found the acorn nut part no is 90176-08023 and NLA but the washer is 90210-13028 and still available from the dealer!
