Man! Looks so much “easier” to do the underside for a frame off. I did mine frame on and boy was it a lot of work to get the grime off then the rust then prepare the frame then the messy POR15 then chassis black paint. I could have really used your shop back then Jim!! I did build some wooden wheel cribs to raise the pig but still literally back breaking!!

That looks like zero fun. I have a dolly that fits a fj55 body and someone offered a rotisserie for the next one.
I don’t remember it being that much trouble to separate the body and frame. Is it?

I like the wheels too! I just bought 5 of the FJ Co replica wheels during their 30% off Black Friday sale. They are 16” so will need to sell my 15” old school look D window wheels and almost new BFG K02’s. Pretty excited!! Jim, can’t wait to see BatPig when it’s done!

Bummer about selling off the barely used wheels and tires. Pua’a Tua’a has the city racer 16” wheels with KO2s.
I’ll move them to Kalua. I’m curious to see if the 33” KO2s on cityracer 16x5.5 wheels on the 60 axles (about 1.3-1.5” wider per side) fill the wheel well like the 33s on 15x8 Toyota wheels on batpig.
The backspace didn’t change between the wheels, but the offset did.
This is a very similar setup
