Dakota Digital. Not bad at all. In fact, pretty darn easy but it just takes time. I’m taking a break before I do the final tuck and loom but it works as advertised.

What did you do to delete the hot/cold air diverter in the air cleaner housing inlet?
Nothing. Keep the flap there and don’t send it vacuum. I trimmed the down tube

If you have a chance, I'd be interested in seeing a pic taken at night to see how illuminated the face of the gauges are. Thanks
It’s all fully adjustable for brightness. Color. All sorts of stuff. Day/Night mode.

I got the speedometer and odometer set. So easy. Also got the temp gauge in the cluster working. I forgot to program it to talk to the sniper interface

0-60 in 15 seconds is pretty good I would think

THAT'S what I like to see in my rear view!

I’ll let John give the narrative to the photos but 80 miles in the books today with no issues to speak of.

@wngrog you know I am the worst at the narratives. Mustard is A + so what else?

I flew up to West Plains, Missouri, this morning to pick up my new 200 series from @Ozark cruiser shop. This was one of my longer flights in the Cirrus….around 3:15 direct. Nice weather for flying and not much traffic so fairly uneventful.

It was perfect timing to stop in and see Mustard for a quick visit as I made my way back to Florida. @wngrog figured out a good spot to meet him about 45 minutes from his house so we swapped trucks and he drove the 200 back while I drove Mustard. Mustard was a nice truck before this stint at Tilda Bogue but it’s really something else at this point.

It isn’t easy to pick a spot to even begin discussing the truck. The @FJ60Cam Cop Motor sounds amazing at idle and has substantially more power than the 2F that came out of it. The engine plus the split case and 3.70’s create an awesome driving experience. Very quiet. We ran 60-65 most of the way back and RPM’s were between 2300 and 2450.

EPS? Very nice and super smooth. I almost drove into a building when we first met up because I went to crank the steering wheel to make a hard turn from a parked position. This unit is really powerful and makes for effortless in town driving.

I still cannot believe Nolen let me install Scheelmann seats in the truck. They look great and are going to look even better when the jump seats get back from the upholstery shop. They are also really comfortable. Much more comfortable than the ones in this 200 series.

Very much looking forward to getting Mustard back home. We made a little game plan today for the swap out in a couple weeks. Will trade out the red 45 for Mustard.

Very nice. On Mosley's website they list a Hi Power 2F and somewhere in their narrative of that engine they discuss the possibility of a "Super HiPo 2F" engine. Just curious which engine you went with?

Some people love the drive/test segment of a project.

Me? This is the scary part. I’m driving someone else’s vehicle around in traffic and backroads. I’m always nervous as hell. Not relaxing as it should be but it’s part of the process. I sent one home to Texas once without really putting the miles on it and we had sniper issues I could have easily sorted had I driven it more.

So I’m committed to putting some miles on Mustard to find the issues before it’s 7 hours away.

So far, so good. The initial tune is good. Runs strong. Nothing yet at about 150 miles.

The speedo is a few MPH slow. I’ll dig into that and see what I can do about that. 70 is effortless. It’s a golden sweet spot that requires almost no throttle on the flat roads around here. I’m a HUGE fan on 3.70s and an H42 4 speed with true 33s. Especially where there is no need for the granny low of the 1st gear that comes with the H55.

Again, effortless. This cop motor will spin 3000 RPM all day every day.

How does it hold pulling a grade? Nothing unreasonable, but something moderate you would expect to encounter on the highway (at least in the PNW). Will it hold that MPH easily without downshifting? The more you post on this engine/trans combo the more interested I am I’m it.

I’ve got many miles on a similar motor and it does great in the hills
