I wish it was a stamped bezel but it's actually a sticker I picked up from Volcanic Iceberg. I thought it would due until a stamped bezel can be found

Sully, that color turned out very nice. You're on a roll now. It'll be completely finished and on the road by 31 January, right? ;)

Funniest thing I've heard in a while! I wish January 31, but I've come to realize that my bank account keeps getting smaller and the length of time for this build continues to get longer...

But thank you for the compliment on the paint job. I went over yesterday and mounted the driver side slider. I was going to go over and mount the passenger side today but decided that I would rather take my boat out and do a little fishing, so I'll be off to the lake in a little while.

I'm very familiar with the shrinking bank account issue. :crybaby:

I guess you could give your 40 budget a shot in the arm by getting a refund on that soft top.

Happy fishin'. Post slider pics when you get back.

Its actually kind of odd. I have a stack of receipts thicker than a organic chemistry book and as I look around the garage I see a pretty much empty garage. Weird how that works.

Yea, a top would be nice considering the tub I have on my frame is an original soft top model. 16 months later I'm still top less and it appears Jim is going on vacation. If I was in his shoes I would be working 16 hours a day to get the list done but then again I wouldn't have taken everyones money and given people a line of crap either.

Anyways, thanks! I'll definitely post some pictures of the sliders when I finish them up. I put a large rubber washer behind the fender washers, and it seems pretty sturdy on the driver side..

Wow... 16 month ...I be beating someone

Alright promised sea knight I would post a pic or two of the sliders he hooked me up with. I can't remember currently the brand but they are pretty stout and mount up pretty easily. Anyways here's a pic or two for you Lee

Man, those look great. I changed my mind. I want 'em back. ;)

Those sliders were built by Dave Gore. They're a variation on his 4+ tube slider design. I had him slightly modify the angle of the tubes so that they could be used as steps, but otherwise they're the same as the 4+ sliders that Man-A-Fre sells.

Thanks for posting the pics. Your truck is looking great. I look forward to seeing it in person....next month?

cool sliders .... we'll test-em out at Roundup ;)

You'll never get them back now! 9/10ths possession is the law!

Thanks for adding some tech info, I was hoping you would chime in on the manufacture of the sliders. My mind is slipping back into a world of coursework.

As for when she will be done, I would love to cruise her up to Billy's next month and try the sliders out at the round up but knowing my Irish luck, it will be another year until she runs down a trail with me behind the seat instead of cruising down pavement on a tow truck..

Does anyone know where a guy could find the original antennae or a replica make that works?

remember that the last half of time only accomplishes 5% of the overall outcome - asymptotic curve it is

I do have the two holes for them now. They are on the passenger side. One is right below the windshield hinge and the other sits right above the kick vent. I don't have any pictures of it up close but I think zooming in on a passenger side picture will show the holes. I'll try to get some pics and measurements this weekend. I bought one off cruiser corp I believe and it is just a universal one with the wrong type of mounts.

I believe I am a smart individual but I'll have to admit I am a little lost here. Would love to be schooled in hillbilly terminology if possible.
