I'd love to stick a H55 in my 40, but that isn't happening lol

I was also thinking of putting the h55 in the 40 and maybe and auto on the 60, but that would mean more money for the 60, etc, etc, etc. My wife would probably divorce me. I want to start by adding p/s to the 40 after I paint it (t416) then install the good 2f.

Well after 4 months of sitting at the paint shop they finally decided to get around to painting my rig. I'm out of town right now so a fellow mudder swung by to check on his fj40 and took some pictures for me.

The tan looks really light colored but under sunlight it should look darker

It still needs wet sanded and polished but I'm happy with what I see in the pics. Looking forward to seeing it in person

Thanks guys. The color is actually a jeep color. I believe they call it sahara tan. It's the tan that jeep is going with on their new wranglers.

The diamond plate thing is a tailgate. It's a cheap fix until I can find a solid tailgate for the rig. Fortunately this one does fold down, and those are snaps for a top.

Here's a couple pictures of
The Dashman box i bought. I'm hoping to start assembling once I get Back whenever that may be.

Thanks! No top so far. That's a sore subject! How have you been doing?

Please do that for me

Nice color choice. Paint job looks excellent. Now you just need to host an assembly party. You might even be able to lure some folks down from Austin to pitch in. ;)

Back in Texas now and spoke with the painter today. The plan is to head over to his shop in the morning and assemble it there so he can wet sand it and polish it.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in person and possibly having it in my garage by Monday so the wiring festivities can begin.

I have the next two weeks off, so with a little luck this old truck will be operational by Jan 7th.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. If your bored and around the San Antonio feel free to stop by and lend a hand. Plenty of beer on hand!
