Hey same to you as well! Do you have your cruiser here in town? I thought I saw a brown one rolling down 35 the other day. What bring you to this place of misery for two months?

The folks up at wimberley 4x4(place on 35) is owned by a gentleman named Daniel. He is overpriced and willing to help if you have cash on hand. Grant is great go to guy I hear for carbs, etc... Everytime I've been there Daniel has been an odd person to deal with.

Anyways feel free to stop by sometime. Hoping to start wiring it up before you leave if I ever get it back from the painter. I have a bunch of goodies to install once he is Back in my garage. I live over by Sea World, but am downtown almost everyday.

Daniel,

Did ya get your speedo cable figured out? I can get the info on the guy that did mine. Lemme know when your ready to put her back together..... With 2-3 people working on it it could go rather quick.....

Kevin I haven't had the time to do the legwork on finding a shop here. I did purchase a new stock speedo cable and thought I could just find a place and have them put the right female end on it.

I'll let you know when I get it back from the shop. They put the por15 on the bottom of my tub before they moved it to their new shop.

Anyways thanks mate!

Looking good so far.. Keep up the good work

Nice work on the 40. They are long term projects sometimes.... :)

Thanks gentleman for the compliments. You are absolutely right, these projects can last forever. I thought it would be painted and put back together by now.

Couple questions:

The PO supposively rebuilt the motor and the motor runs strong, however I'm contemplating having it rebuilt or rebuilding it myself just to do it. Does anyone sell a rebuild kit for the 83+ 2f motors?

Also I have the 3spd tranny and thinking about rebuilding it as well. Are there any rebuild kits being sold for this tranny?

Thanks my friend for the info and the compliment!

Well I haven't had much to do over the last week since my cruiser is at the paint shop. However I was told it was time to get all the new cruiser parts off the dinner table and out of be guest room as we have a friend coming into town. So off I went to Lowes today to get some shelving units.

I went with the Lowes brand shelving units that come with 2 units in a box that are 16x48. Well byways here's the end result. Little more clean spot for here to park in the garage for the mean time until the cruiser comes back

Well my cruiser is still at the paint shop, who knows when it'll be back in the garage. In the mean time I've ordered some goodies. My garage is starting to become filled with new parts that are waiting to be installed. Ordered some metal tech tube doors today. It's pretty damn hot down here most of the year so I want to put the painted full doors in storage and slap these tube doors on....

Also purchased this booster and booster from a fellow mudder as well. Ordered a new clutch master as well.

Decided to work on the piece that supports the pedals since I forgot to have it blasted. I removed all the components and dropped the piece off at my sand blaster today. Once I have it back I'll assemble everything back. Little work to stay busy I suppose....

Looking good Sully.

I have a 73 that I need to start working on which I am sure it will not look as good as yours is going to look. Mine will be done on a small budget...

Keep posting the updates & pics.

Thanks Meatloaf. I'm sure your rig will look great when finished. What are you planning on doing to it???

I honestly should have kept the budget down on this one but its hard to when your dealing with expensive parts.

Where in Texas are you located?

Yes, I wish I can spend lot of $$$ on the 40. I over did in on the 60 (vortec, h55, etc) and still having issues with it, so my wife is not about to let me get out of hand with this one. I should be starting within the next month or two.

I am in south Austin.

I'd love to stick a H55 in my 40, but that isn't happening lol
