Doing manual calibration kinda sucks. The ohms still jump around because getting a good ground while it's outside the tank sucks. Unfortunately, all my spare bolts are still in storage, so I had to use my arthritic hands to hold it tight. It helps if you know the range, though. Empty is 999 ohms, 1/3 tank is 38, 2/3 is 34 and full should be 30. Once you figure this out, it's relatively easy to hit the set button once those numbers appear.

Tightened everything down permanent like, and it appears to be fixed. But we'll see.

My transmission was spewing oil from the speedometer cable replacement that came with the Dakota Digital sensor.

For $1800+, you'd think they'd at least mention the need for new seals, but I had to learn the hard way.

The o ring was still good, but the original felt was just MIA.

City Racer provided the necessary O ring and felt. Didn't take a picture, but now it doesn't leak transmission oil.

Mavis hauled her first trailer load today!

We have finished our barn, so a bunch of barn finishing items need transport as well as the items in storage moved to the barn. That little trailer goes down the road pretty good, especially if I keep the tongue weight up.

I'd like to get that trailer to tow level in the future though. Might need a lift/taller tires someday

Be careful what you wish for. Your load ramp angle looks really good right now. The ramp will get vertical in a hurry if you make it taller.

Just a start.

Call Georg @ Valley Hybrids @orangefj45 I think his number is 209-714-4210. He is way better than SOR

Thanks guys.

$2199.. yikes. 3 speeds are evidently not that bad to rebuild, if you wanted to go that route. First gear gets mangled and raked all the time, so finding good used isn't super cheap but it can be done. Something to think about.

I drive this thing everyday, so really can't afford much down time.

I'd be willing to pay for a rebuilt unit for the convenience.

Thanks for the mention. I have been rebuilding these for 35 years now, and have a couple of rebuilt 3 speed units on the shelf at the moment. $1000 plus the ride.

SOR offers a refurbished 3 speed at $2199.

Anyone else have suggestions on where to look?

Their prices have really gone up! I bought a "serviced" H41 from them 14-15 years ago for about half of that. The good news is, it's still working perfectly.

Inflation is what you get with deficit spending funding by printing dollars though. :meh:

I would go for one of your rebuilt 3 spds. Unfortunately I can't direct message you for some reason.
