I would go for one of your rebuilt 3 spds. Unfortunately I can't direct message you for some reason.
My message box is locked because I have a very strong preference for conducting my business by telephone. I hope that is not too much trouble. I look forward to talking with you.😊

Currently running a “Marks 4spd” (and Tcase) @65swb45 in my LC. 1st rate!!! Also came with “tech support” 😉.

I called and left a message. Look forward to chatting with you!

Just dropped your transmission off at UPS Drew.😉

When do you wanna get started on this? I can put your hoist in Carl and come up for a day sometime.
I'll let you know once I receive the transmission.

Meanwhile, I'm still driving the rig, though only local trips. It's amazing how unimportant a little transmission noise is when there is a solution on the horizon.

I have never been 100% satisfied with my shift quality, and Tuesday night, the shift shaft became disconnected from the wheel. Limped it home and parked it because of a busy Wednesday.

What I failed to notice, was the threading on the wheel end of the shifter shaft, and it was only held in by friction. Pulled the shifter arm off and that allowed the shaft to free spin so it could be screwed in. Shifts much better now.

Looks like I need to order another rubber shifter bushing.

I was checking back in on your transmission. Thought I missed the installation..😁 🍻👈🏻

Everything moves more slowly now. Gotta figure a time to do it

For sure..Now days, I gotta’ factor in the old man coefficient before I do anything…

@Thechief86 showed up this morning and we got most of the transmission swap done.

Found most of 1st gear on my drain plug. Synchros were a vague memory

Then noticed this

Bearing wasn't even straight.

Also, the gasket seal between the trans and transfer case was oriented backwards.

Big thanks to Eric for the help. Can finish it up myself now!

I wouldn’t mind having that first gear for the Wall of Shame. In 40 years, I have only seen one worse than that.

Local client paid me to do a 4 speed swap in his otherwise well-built Chevota. The engine was SO powerful that what was left of first gear was helical!😱
