I've been thinking about it and have two ideas. First, that is a pretty radical curve for a hose, so the curve may contribute. Also, the pinhole is right where inattentive tools can damage it.That’s interesting. I had a new bypass hose from SOR that had a pinhole leak as well. Wonder if there’s a quality issue at the international bypass hose factory?

Out of the blue, some old timer came up to Mavis to check her out. He looked at me, said "wait a minute, I got something for you". He went to his pickup and dug through his tool box and came out with this.

Back in the day he had a 1974 FJ40 and had rebuilt this carb to put on it when a storm collapsed the building it was in, totalling it. He also dug out wood handled JIS screw driver, tire iron and spark plug wrench.
