Step one of this round of “he’s doing what?”

Super Swamper LTB 34x10.50-15 bias beauties. I fell in love with these during the Baja69 build, especially after I drove it and they were not bad at all on the road.

Per specs
  • Tire Diameter Actual: 33.6
But fair warning when Googling these, you might end up in a Jeep forum 😝

no one has asked yet?!
whats the actual tire height?!
33.25” on a 16x6 rim with 34#

50 RPM less than the 255/85r16 Yokohamas

Typical Swamper

Also I did a comparison photo of RPMs in 4th and in 5th at 70.

400 RPM is what you get with the 5th gear.

This motor…..I forgot how amazing the RoboCop Carillo motor is.

16 in rim or 15 in rim on the red SWB?
But I had a 40 here this summer with 15” wheels that had 34x10.50-15 LTBs and they were same size.

I had to make a run for the pallet from @orangefj45

I grabbed the Goat and picked up the pallet and then another one arrived from Dobinsons for another project.

I decided to take Seminole for that run

Swampers had small flat spots but before I hit the interstate they had rounded out nicely.

Smooth cruise at 80+

Did a little burnout for the guys at PowderKeg.

Smooth cruise at 80 in a 58yr old FJ45. That’s sayin’ something!
Not much left that’s 58 but yeah….you should see peoples faces when you blow by them in it

Round 2 of “He wants what??”

Convert the late 2F buildout to look like an F motor like we did on his 72 FST build

Cowboy is glad the FJ60 is finished. She prefers 40 series.

Cracking this thing open….stay tuned.

I started with the engine bay because I knew I was missing some pieces. I think I have all the pieces on order now.

To put the taller valve cover on, you need the longer rocker studs

IMG_6615.webp

To mount the PS on the passenger side to free up real estate for the early air cleaner you need a FJ62/FJ80 PS pump. @cruiseroutfit provided that bit of OEM gold

IMG_6617.webp

I bought a DIY Power Steering line but forgot to order the M16 1.5 fittings to make them talk. Ordered.
IMG_6619.webp

I’m at a stopping point I think. Need to let the paint dry on the alternator mount. The one I pre purchased was the wrong style.

IMG_6620.webp

Alternator to the drivers side, low like an F motor.

Here is the PN for the PS belt

IMG_6662.webp

Here is the one I ended up using for the alternator. The standard F belt I ordered was too short. Not sure why.
IMG_6659.webp

Used a 2F alternator tension bar.

IMG_6660.webp

Then I made a 56” long pig tail and ran the wires around the front under the front of the radiator
