You going to roll the dice and hope for the best pulling those head bolts to mount the F air cleaner bracket?
Yeah sure. What else can you do? I feel that’s more of a Mud problem than a real problem.

I had very little time to work on Seminole today. I’m trying to get my current 60 project gone and delivered Sunday so I can knock out the rest of this one.

Got the air cleaner on and modified for a tight fit on the sniper.

Still need the PS hose and a valve cover gasket to button this part of the project up

Interesting 🤔 my '83 NZ 40 has a 2F but with the old air box you show, and the altinator mounted low, as you have done... I assumed that was the late model version.
No reason to think mine has been modified. Only 90k km on the clock...

Regional differences. South African 45's had the old style air cleaner and low mount alternator right through production ended.

Slept in this morning, skipped the gym and piddled a bit on Seminole before the Ole Miss game

Down to the PS hose under the hood and I can button up the early air cleaner/valve cover project

Alright. Got a couple hours to do a few things this afternoon after I delivered a 60 back to its owner.

First I carved up a bumperette for the rear to go under the 4Plus carrier. That’s a mod I figured out after this one left here last time. It’s going to powder.

Next I got the PS hose built out using a DIY hose kit.

I’ve been waiting on the fittings that go in the box and pump to allow the use of -6an.

These things are -06AN male to M16x1.5. They work on both ends. Mini box and Toyota pump

This is the engine bay now. The passenger side is pretty busy with all the Holley coil and ignition stuff. Add in the electric fan and Koito harness and there is a lot going on

H55 out and stashed for @fireball

H42/split has been waiting in the Goat

H42 stuffed. I got one with a spacer so it would fit exactly like the H55 did. It’s a tight fit in an early 45 tub. No way this would fit if I was using the bellhousing motor mounts. The modified 60 crossmember allows you to lower the rear enough to clear the tub

It fits if you proactively notch the u shaped body channel for the high low shifter.

Spent the afternoon moving the axle back 1” and adding some El Dorado calipers. For some reason I thought I had purchase my Wilwoood parking brake cables but I haven’t so hooking the EStopp stuff up will have to wait until summit gets me the parts. Hopefully for the weekend.

When I swapped the regular discs for the new Monte Carlo ebrake discs I discovered this truck still had 9mm brake lines so that replacing them with 10mm to talk to the TSM kit took a while.

Next I bled it all out.

Along with the axle/wheelbase stretch, I added a longer shackle from Man A Fre to the rear. This truck was sitting just a hair low in the back to me and I wanted to give it a little rake. It’s about 1/2” high rear to front now. Gonna look better having the TSL in the center of the wheel well

Going to look sweet drifting down my dirt road.
