I actually learned that trick from @TRAIL TAILOR many many years ago

We also found the perfect firesleeve for the hose portion of our hydroboost lines…

I was looking for a new license plate the other day and learned that Florida allows for “authenticated” plates for vehicles manufactured in 1974 or before. I did not know exactly what that meant because I’ve never really owned many old Land Cruisers. Turns out because Florida (like a lot of states) used to issue new plates ever year and they had that year stamped on the plate. Each year you got a new plate. I’m allowed to plate this truck with an original 1964 license plate through a little DMV maneuvering downtown.

I even picked up a sweet “400th Anniversary” plate for the 1965 45 swb. The color could not be more perfect for this Seminole Red.

I’ll have this handled and up to @FJ60Cam in no time.
How much of a pain was this? I’m about to do the same with a 73 plate. I know the requirements, etc.. Just wondering if the process takes a while. My local tag office said it’s all done through the state. County can’t do any of it.

If you didn’t already know “1” is the county code for Dade and “4” is Pinellas.

Leon would be 14.

Yes. It’s a pain. The county code was not that big of a deal to me. Shoot me a PM with your email and I’ll introduce you to the person at DHSMV who can get it done.

Thank you. Will do!

When I got the new post alert today I just knew it was @FJ60Cam with a major update. False alarm.
I got to talk to the people out there today and they told me to drive up and look for the updates in the red house.

Damn, I thought I was over in chat for a sec.

See, what had happened was….

This project was supposed to be a quick in & out. Build a motor, slap a Sniper & FJ Co bellhousing on, stuff it in the truck, peel out.

Done.

2 weeks, 3 tops….

We were in talks with Discovery Channel about another Monster Garage/Fast ‘n Loud type show, but the producers didn’t even think we had enough material to get to the first commercial break.

Maybe break out the Knuckle Centering SST.

At the time, I was working out of my mom’s basement, working on one truck at a time, maybe building a motor here and there. We were actually closer in time to the original trip to The Very Large Array than we are to Nolen’s current, real time visit.

This is the trip that would change the trajectory of history…
