First dibs on the roof.

What?

I spent the morning collecting tires, unpacking parts, unloading the 350 and dragging Red Turd45 over in front of the shop.
Bonus in that, one of the rear axles is either broken or the C clip is missing because the passenger rear axle fell out.

If you have ever gotten parts from Beno you know it takes hours to unpack. I started a fire and burned off some shop scrap and all the boxes.

We have a load of parts for the Mosley Motor and a load of parts for an F135. Plans have already shifted for that. Details to follow.

Seat covers from Cruiser Corps for the 64 FJ45 on the left.
After I got off the “you are staying home” conference call I spent a little time decorating my new shop.
@wdukes sent me some awesome FJ55 banners. Check him out at Drunken Skull.

Also got another load of Tags to finish out the tag tunnel between the two shops

Let me be the first to say that is an actual $h1t-ton of old license plates.

Red Turd45

I‘m glad I emptied my bladder before I read this.

Cool idea with plates. Where did you get them all?

The state switched to piss yellow tags and they are all take offs. I know a girl at the office.....

I traded out about 75 for other state tags. I put them in The Goat Pen. Turned out great.

Here is my walk-around on the 63 and why I suggested we punt and run the original plan on the 64. If the bezel was not bad enough, when I went to move it today the rear axle fell out.

Crap man from what you show there‘s a lot in so much better shape than the rig I picked up. But that ain’t saying much, cuz after the last two years I realized I walked into a really deep RABBIT hole, lol so I understand the quarantine. I’m not that smart.

Is that a centered rear diff?

I hadn’t been really looking around I guess ... this thread escaped me ... can’t wait to see more

@wngrog
2q’s

1- are the yoko’s 255/85r16? And what is it’s actual tread width if it is

2- what year is the log cabin? 1830’s?

Absolutely love old homes, worked on several and loved every one (that doesn’t sound right after I read that again lol)

@JohnnyC , yes I live in an 1830 log home. It was relocated here in 1980 by my family from 1.5 miles away. We have a total of 5 log structures here. Tilda Bogue is on the National Register of Historic Places.

As for the tires, Yokohama MT G002 255/85-16 on City Racer black steelies with Acorns.
These things measure out 32.5 by 9.5”

I got a Nicaraguan plate you can add if you want? I will toss in an Idaho plate too, it even was Johns. ;)

Cheers

In the last 25 years of 45 hunting, the shorty beds never survived, rarely have I ever seen a rust free bed. This one is very solid!!! And Most I have seen have been in California!! This rig is a very solid fixed top example.
@whitey45 I concur it’s not that bad. We have another project we are slowly getting going as well and the 63 just really needs to be taken on when we have some time on our hands. I love the truck and certainly won’t be getting rid of it. Just need some time to consider the appropriate direction.
