I've got a 100 series that needs the heater T's replaced as preventive maintenance. That being said I'm a total n00b when it comes to mechanical work of any kind and I'm starting from a confidence level of 0. Anyone in Charlotte that has done this and would like some beer and food to harangue me while I do this and lend a hand if/when needed OR someone more technically minded/experienced who needs to do it as well and wouldn't mind doing one and then teaching me one seconds later?

I'll be using the 4 seasons 83543 T and probably the Breezy continuous tension clamps.

How many miles on your 99? Mine were brittle to the touch at 200k miles on a 2000 LC. Nice an easy and keep an eye on all the pieces that will be cracking apart. I replaced mine with brass T's from Amazon.

133k in my 2006, I figured it's time. I considered the hoses as well, but that seems daunting to me right now.

I've done the T's on our LX. It's a 1/2  job. C'mon man, you got this! It took me about 15 minutes. You'll need a step stool of some sort to reach back there. Pair of pliers. Maybe a screwdriver to provide a little leverage against the hose. Our '04 LX had 110K miles and those T's were already brittle. One broke upon removal. I saved the unbroken one and put it in the glove box just in case.

They should be replaced as PM service when the timing belt is done. With only 133 they probably wont come apart. If you crimp the ubes prior to removing and it does break you can vac the pieces out. The next timing belt replacement I'd replace them with the hoses as well. By far the easiest way. You make them up outside the truck. Remove the old and install the whole new assembly with new factory clamps.
