The first batch was 14 gauge. It was a bit bouncy on rough roads, but seemed totally acceptable to me. I just don't want to deal with people upset that it bounces, so I'm going to run 12 for the next round to try and combat some of that.

I may offer the 14 gauge ones at a highly discounted price if anyone is interested. Could probably do $30 per bracket. I have about 6 or 7 left

If I go stainless, which it sounds like that's what the people want, once I place the order it will be about 2 weeks to show up on the site. If I have to powder coat, add another 2 weeks.

Glad to hear about the flaps! I'm sad they never really took off. I absolutely love mine.

I doubt they would work on the 80. If these do well, I'll start finding other series to hopefully get something similar on.

You mean bare mild steel, or bare stainless? Bare mild would be the cheapest, but I don't know how many people want to deal with having to paint their new product.

Mild steel. I'd just paint it tan and call it good. But I don't really care either way.

I think stainless is the answer. I'm going to place the order Monday morning and should have them 2 weeks from then.

What do you guys think? Would you the strap be something you'd pick up with double mounts for like $5 extra?

I just threw anything with a belt clip on there lol. I doubt many travel with a measuring tape, but you get the idea.
