100 series fire extinguisher mount

Hey all!


After doing Cruise Moab this year and having my fire extinguisher rolling around, I decided to fix that. This is a simple design that will be relatively cheap and work on either side.

It moves with the seat and doesn't restric movement of the seat at all. It's also nice and close to the seat so it hardly interferes with foot room.

Im going to finish up the design next week and send it off to get laser cut. Will likely be 14 gauge stainless. I'm imagining about $50 per bracket, but hopefully less.

What I like about it, is it seems to be closer to the seat than some of the other offerings that have the extinguisher in front of the seat. More leg room

Interesting. Only one I've seen is the wits end with the lock box. I havent seen any other options for the 100.

Hmm. Not sure where that's attached. He has a bend/weld . The only bend on mine is hidden where it bolts to the seat. Looks like he never came up with a final sellable design anyhow.

Passenger side. Im stoked it's one bracket for both sides. Will make buying doubles cheaper for you guys.

I didn't flip the extinguisher clasp, but it will flip so the handle is closer to the center console vs the door.

Probably a stupid question, but how sturdy is the clasp? Any danger of the extinguisher becoming a projectile during an accident?

The clasp is what you get with your extinguisher. My bracket just gives you a place to mount it without having to drill holes in your interior.

That said, the ones I've tested have been super sturdy so far. Only way I could imagine it coming off in an accident is if the accident is so bad it wouldn't make a difference.
