DID YOU CALL LEXUS AND OPEN A CASE???????? (Yes, I meant to type in all caps!)

With unfortunately few exceptions, dealer service departments are run by guys who want you to write a check and go away. They are not your friends, and will do whatever they need to make this happen.

You or dealer can source engine from here, which all dealer, shops use: Search Results
Lots of them for $1000- $2000.

I have used the BBB a few times to deal with difficult companies. Give them a call as well as ask to speak to the dealer owner.

The more I look at picture of piston and think about possible causes, the more questions I have.

I retract hydro lock as possible causes unless connecting rod is bent.

The top of the piston looks pretty normal. Not like one that had a leaky fouled spark plug long term. Comparing with other 7 piston would be revealing.

The piston design lends itself to compression forces more so than pull. It's like the piston top became jammed in cylinder and pulled apart.

I'd really like to see more pictures including head compression chamber, cylinders wall, connecting rod and the other 7 piton tops.

So what happened?

I fear we will never know, OP hasn’t been seen since Feb 1 on the forum.

Seriously, it was like a novel that was missing the last chapter. Noooo!

Always wonder what happens to people. I've found a few threads in the past few months where the OP just disappears...always sad since most of the time it is a good read.
