The shaft in my '88 hj61 steering gear box has 4 teeth. I'm being told by the rebuild shop that the replacement shaft with the same PN 44111-60040 has 3 teeth. Anyone ever heard of this? The same part number but different number of teeth on the shaft? How many teeth on a 61/62 sector shaft?

I have owned an 03GX470 for a long time (years). It has around 300k miles. The steering is tight, the suspension is tight. It is totally stock and no replacement of any suspension parts (though I have done ball joints, etc.). But... I bought an 04, and it drives like an old pickup truck...

What are the likely culprits for a loose steering wheel? Tie Rods.... what else might it be? When driving down the freeway, you have to stay on top of the steering. There is probably 3-4" of play from dead center (1.5"-2" on each side from dead center)
