Figured I’d throw these up here in case someone wants to move a shackle mount, undo a shackle reversal or upgrade their 40 to larger 60 bushings…
Full set of 60 spring and shackle hangers cut cleanly off the frame
$150 for all plus shipping
Or $75 for each end
I know the front spring is suppose to be behind the shoes and the back spring in front but why? I have not seen this on other cars with drum brakes. Just curious.
Thanks
Hello all,
I currently own a BJ42 that was built by Hilltop Cruisers here in AB, Canada. It currently has a spring over suspension setup running on 37s. I want to remove the spring over setup and need some guidance.
Can someone point me in the right direction if there is a kit I can order, or...
Just started to remove my rear leaf springs so to remove a leaf or two in order to help soften ride a bit. I was planning to remove the 3rd leaf down from top only but now that I have the lower leaf's removed, wondering if I should also remove the 5th leaf down (see photo below).

I know this is not ideal but I'm looking for a mild lift for the rear with a 1.5" ebay spacer. Unless anyone on here has some for sale or 1.5" lift springs. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you. I'm doing 5100s on the front and rear and will do a .75" front lift and 1.5" rear lift.

Good morning everyone. I just installed new Dobinson c59-223V coil springs on my 80 this morning. After I put it all back together I have my ABS light on. When I go 30 mph and slam the breaks it doesn't lock up, so it must be working right? My axles dropped down pretty low when I installed them...
Truck felt soft and bouncy this am after some forest service road exploring at week. A quick peek underneath shows both bottom shock mounts swinging freely. Looks like the welded female sleeve broke off the leaf spring bracket on both.
Suggestions on replacement or fix? I found some used...
Hello! This is my first post on the forum. I've got an 02 4runner SR5 and looking to lift the rear with some FJ80 8 wrap front coils. I'm willing to pay shipping fees if needed but also very happy to pick up locally. I don't care how much you're asking for (as long as you're reasonably). I just...
Changing out the front spring bushings on my 2007-ish Old Man Emu Dakar springs on my 5/84 FJ60. This is a Medium kit (springs, shackles, shocks, etc.) purchased from MAF before I was cool and knew about @cruiseroutfit
I added 4Plus U-Bolt Flip front and rear later on. CS004F in the front...
So this weekend I finally mounted a Warn M12000, still need to wire it in, but it’s to cold for that nonsense. Anyway, I was looking at the suspension, when I was under the cruiser searching for the washer I dropped, and it doesn’t seem like I have much room for travel upward.
Currently have an...

I need a 1973 fj40 u bolt spring plate. One of mine is bent. It could probably be heated and straightened. I would like to see if I can find one reasonably priced. Thanks.
After my rebuild, the only problem I have is the return spring for the hood latch somehow got lost.
Now I need to depress the cable with a flat head screwdriver or else the hood will not latch. The handle in the cabin does not return. I am afraid over time that cable will break.
