Hey Mud! Quick question for you all, as I'm second guessing myself, but wanted to double check my paint code number as I need to touch up some pain on my 200. My code 218 correct? Need to double check this before I order and then I'll ask you all about the best way to touch an area rear...
Hello everyone! The exterior of my 1988 Toyota FJ62 is gray metallic code 153 but everything under the hood, from the factory, is a non-metallic lighter gray color (see pic). Does anyone know the color code or color for this? Thanks in advance.
I recently got a donor liftgate painted and I am getting ready to install the rear glass. I have a new gasket and am wondering what adhesive people are using for this?
White with gold bottom 100 Series with Ironman bumper. About to get it painted. Trying to decide to go solid white or white with a medium metallic gray belt molding?
A few years back I bought John's sweet Amazon Green LC200.
She runs like a top, but the clear coat on the roof is starting to peel, and there are gravel chips on the hoot that go clear to the metal.
I'm thinking of re-painting her in the original color (i have a great body shop) but wonder if...
I’m just about to paint the FJ 40 and I have the transmission tunnel off and I noticed that my transmission and transfer case linkages do not match the holes on my cover.
Any help would be appreciated
Hello, I am really wanting to paint my Fj60 this color but have been unsuccessful finding the exact color. A bit of a shot in the dark but curious if anyone knows this color code. Thanks!

Hi all, I am getting rolling on my restoration on my 1977 fj40. But something looks off with the engine. Can someone tell me what this is (f maybe?) and would here have been a reason they swapped?
Hello murders,
I'm doing all my front axle work next week and I'd like to paint the front axle and shock mounts. Will eventually be painting the whole frame as I move from front to back. Just need to decide on what paint to use. I won't be sanding too much because in generally it's pretty rust...
I have a Maroon Red 80. It has the typical clear coat failure on the roof and hood.
It has busted OEM fender flares that I need to repair and replace before getting the vehicle roadworthy inspected for registration.
I have sourced some decent used OEM flares, but they still need some touching...
On-road and off, looking for recommendations for protective films for both paint and glass. Interested in preventing smash and grabs and impacts on windows, rock chips and flying debris and UV on windshield, door dings, pinstripes off road, additional sound deadening and general protection...
Well, I backed out of my garage without fully opening the door and put a nice scratch on my brand new painted cap. Does anyone know if I can just take a cap full of paint and add a few drops of hardener and mix it up so I can just dab a little on with a brush? Didn’t know if it had to be...
Hi there -
I've got aftermarket front fenders from CCOT and am having them painted along with the rest of my tub. The body is painted and the top of the fenders have been painted - and we are getting ready to handle the underside of the fenders.
Originally I was planning on having them...
Hello friends,
I ask a question here and in my post, as you have certainly seen I try my hand at painting Toyota, Here it is: do you need a special primer to paint embossed aluminum plates with the Raptor? it seems to me that the classic paint does not hold on aluminum?
Just got the 80 back from paint. It was a Maaco job, top package, had the body cladding paint matched and old trim pieces replaced. It's not perfect by any means but for a vehicle I take camping and off-road its great. Waiting a month and might do limited ppf to enjoy a scratch free ride for a...
Well looks like I finally got hit, I was parked and the guy ran but got him tracked down.
Is the damage bad enough to where it could have hurt the frame, and are there any other things I should check out? Also, can I use this as an opportunity to get ARB in the rear???;)
Let me know the best...
Sprayed some single stage acrylic urethane at its recommended viscosity (no more than 10% reduction) on the roof of my 55 which resulted in gnarly orange peel. After waiting for the appropriate time I started color sanding in an effort to knock everything down flat. What I began finding was this...
