I ended up grabbing the parts rig in Evergreen, the running pig sold last week I believe. I think 2-3 years on CL with the exact same ad and never lowered the price ever. But he finally sold it to a "boulder engineering grad student who has always wanted one", so maybe the new owner will show up...

Ok so my 40 is just being terrible. I parked it for a while then decided to do a tune up. So new plugs, points, rotor, plug wires, new "toyota oem" carb from eBay, new air filter... Now when I try to start my 40 it runs then hammers it and then stalls every time! I have tried filling the fuel...

Well hear I go! Had to build the shop first, it's done, so this marks day 1 of the FJ being rolled in to the shop. Some minor disassembly started! It'll take a while. Build plan: Vortec, NV4500, Atlas2, 37's", 4.56, Diamond front and centered rear- wider 60 or 80 width. To be decided: SOA or links.
