I almost forgot. If you're gonna do this, a good trick is to use Vaseline (This could get ugly in the BG2F thread....). You can use it as a mask where you don't want the paint. You can use q-tips, toothpics, etc. to manipulate the small points/edges. I've done it on 2 different valve covers and it is TONS better than masking the letters.For the miata valve cover, I laid down my white base, then put Vaseline on the top of each letter, used the toothpick to clean up around the edges. Laid down the orange, and then when the paint was dry, you just wipe off the vaseline, and there you go. It also works well on unpainted valvecovers. Better than sanding in my opinion.
