Thts why i was hoping to find someone tht had actually measured a mounted tire. Seems most tire mfgs are avid fishermen when it comes to measuring. 255/85-17 calculates to a hair over 34. Tht would make this tire one of the few overachievers
Of all the things tht could break, that wouldn't be high on my list. Glad it didnt affect anything for safe driving. Had to get your attention tho real quick. Do you have any clutch left?
The OP's question is the same as has been asked a number of times. And the answers havent changed over the years. Seems to boil down to-Do whatever you want to do! Be cognizant of the ramifications of your decision and ready to live with yhe consequences. And then go to bed at night and sleep...
If Kenda will keep making their 35x10.5, and other mfgs jump on board, a 17x7.5-8.5 w/0-+10 offset and Toyota bore and lug pattern for 80 series, tht would be great. Beadlocks would be icing on the cake! And load rated for a heavy pig.
I like your engine stand. Way better weight distribution than hanging it all the way out there. What surgery are you doing to it? Looking fwd to the continuing saga.
