It may not be real clear from the pictures, but the smaller pieces are painted silver (or grey...I can't remember what the color was), they almost all look black in the pics, but they don't in person. The top and bottom are the black Epoxy, the silver is engine paint.
I didn't use powder coat, I painted these parts after sand blasting them. I took apart all that I could, the parts with the rivets, I drilled out the rivets then re-rivetted them. I was well pleased with the way they turned out.
Great find on an awesome condition 40! You're learning all the right stuff from some of the best LC gurus in the world here on Mudd. Keep plugging away at it, these TLCs love lots of TLC lol
Hey Rick, I've followed your build from the beginning, but I don't remember things as good as I used to lol, so I'm gonna ask...what do you have on the top of your carburetor to mate up to your factory air cleaner? Is that a home made adaptor? Yours has always been one of my favorite builds...
Glad to see you still 'visiting' us and posting those amazing pictures! Hope your breathing continues an improving trend. I enjoyed the reading on the 'bug dust' link :) Take care my friend!
You never know the impact you may have on someone else's life. It's that way for us all. Being in the drug or alcohol induced 'sorts' that she was in at the time I'm sure affected the way she reacted, but evidently, your actions DID impact her life in a positive way! God bless you Danny for what...
Looks great!! Who would of thought of hanging a basket ball goal on your roof rack...way to go lol (sometimes we don't see everything we are taking a picture of lol). But your 40 is seriously awesome!!
