Yep, love mine. Do consider buying an extra hardware kit (screws and nuts). My Wife's and a friend of ours key shells both had screws become loose and lost. I ended up putting a small dab of blue loctite on the screws and haven't lost any since then. But by necessity...the screws only engage a few threads of the small nuts, so IF they get loose they can back out and drop away without being noticed. But no doubt this is a quality product and your will NOT break one.

The kits are universal for any of the 3 button remote keys for the 100 series. The only thing you might want to check is if your existing key blade has metal threads. If so, I recommend ordering up a fresh key blade in addition to the YMD1 kit. That will ensure you're YotaMD kit has a sturdy key.

Sure, these pictures will help. THe below pictures show a typical "threaded blade". This means it's either an I or T style blade.

You have to remove the screw from your existing remote. Sometimes that screw has metal threads (very fine) and screws directly into the blade. You can see the brass threads once you remove the screw (as seen in the pics below). If you have one of the rare U style key blades, the screw will have wider threads and you will not see any brass in the screw hole. You will just see black plastic.

If you have metal threads, you're all good. If you have plastic threads, I'd buy a fresh blank.

So in 2017 I ordered a pair of these, I think maybe in one of the first buys, I remember there was a list or something we all waited anxiously on. Anyways I had some trouble getting it to fit, Andy rushed me out a replacement shell and the week it got there we moved. Since then we moved 3 more times and last week unpacking the box I found the bag I had stuck them in. Was missing one small piece but Andy was so awesome, got it to me and I am sooo happy I don't have to share keys with my wife anymore. Also they look awesome! Thanks @YotaMD (PS. I almost wish they didn't fit so I could order the new colors.....)

These look like a great, durable upgrade from the factory fobs. This is the first I've seen of them and want to get in on the Labor Day deal.

Unfortunately, I have the Lexus short key blade. It's still encased in the plastic fob and plan on leaving it in there as a backup. Any info on when the Lexus short blade blanks will be back in stock?

Also, for the Lexus style blanks, can that style be cut by any key maker? I've been lucky, so far, and haven't had to source replacements for the originals yet.

Sorry, they're in stock now. That was me just failing to keep the store inventory accurate.

Most key makers can do it, but not all. I always do mine at a Lexus dealer. They charge too much, but it's the only a reliable way to get it cut exactly to the OEM shape unless you have a perfect one a locksmith can copy or find a locksmith that can cut by code.
