At this point it's ~#3 in line and I'm doing about one per quarter. So maybe 9 months? It's also very dependent on demand. I need at least a few dozen interested people for it to be viable. There seem to be about a dozen on here so far, so I'm guessing the demand will be there.

The 200 series one has been a bit odd in that demand up front was HUGE, but ongoing sales are pretty weak. That could be mostly my own marketing (or lack thereof) that's causing the disparity.

It could be because there are so many different 200 series fob configurations, and we're just waiting for our model year to get produced (I have a '16).

Love my 100 key. Just saw this thread, and it looks like the three button 200 keys are exactly the same as the 5th gen 4Runner limited keys. Didn’t read through the whole thread, but has anyone checked fitment?

Yes, that's the correct remote. That'll fit!

That's funny, When I looked up the 5th gen 4Runner parts diagrams, the only remote I noted was the integral key version. I didn't scroll to page 2... sure enough, there it is!

Thanks for the tip, I'll need to post this over to that crowd so they're aware!

That’s awesome. I’ll definitely order one. I imagine you’ll make some money if you post it up on T4R.org! Too bad the limited is the only model with keyless start.

I'm registered as YotaMD over there.

Talk to Woody (ih8mud boss). I believe he can help you change your username here, keeping your existing posts associated...assuming YotaMD is available.

I'm ok keeping my existing screen name here. On other forums where I'm not active beyond my business posts, I try to make the YotaMD name more obvious. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's my thought process.

Ya, makes sense.
The addition of your “the YotaMD guy” sub name is helpful.

I really like the customer service I have seen here in this thread, to replace all the previous buyers with the latest design is spectacular. I am going to order two. I do like the FDE color, hmmm choices choices

Agree. Was very cool that he replaced version 1 with version 2 at no charge. The replacements were a real improvement too. The additional ridge helped to prevent accidental presses, and also made finding the buttons by feel easier...since I rarely pull the fob out of my pocket.

I now have replaced both my black fobs with orange...and WOW. So nicely visible that I am now looking for an orange bank card holder. Soooo much easier to spot in any lighting.

I like the FDE.

You will notice a lesson learned where I had to take it apart to change something

Ya I can see how that would have been confusing... but fun to watch!

I would love to see these with a really strong LED flashlight added. Bunch of extra moving parts to complicate the design but would be super useful. Since we always need to carry the key we would always have a light.

A little different take:
I’m a flashlight fanatic...BUT when it comes to stuff in my pockets? I want the smallest, flattest FOB/Wallet/keys I can get away with.

To me the whole beauty of the wireless/keyless entry is NOT having to take the fob out of my pocket to begin with...and YotaMD design.m is small & flat...perfect. Wouldn’t want to bulk it up with a flashlight.

Nearly all smart-phones now can function as a flashlight...so if I need a light...my phone is quite powerful for that minor fiddling in the dark.

But...more to the point...
-With no metal key & no keyhole to hunt for in the dark... a light on a pocketed fob makes less sense.

^^ Totally agree ^^

Adding an LED to the fob would make it much bigger, which violates the #1 design priority, to make it as small as possible.

I like this idea and with some clever design I bet it could be added with minimal extra bulk. It would be a fun design to take on if I were being paid by the hour. Problem is, cost would go through the roof and I doubt there are many buyers out there that would spend the $$ to support the development. Making a key shell is one thing. Making a custom light housing complete with custom switch, wiring, LED and circuit is quite another. Doable, just very time consuming to do it the way I'd want a YotaMD product to be done.

I'm a fan of the Streamlight nano and the rechargeable SureFire flashlight for keychains. Surefire makes a pocket-knife type one too. It's a crowded market space with some pretty slick options out there.

Came here for the Streamlight Nano recommendation, was not disappointed.
