IIRC, Trollhole carb does have AC idle up provision. I'll check mine today that I have on the shelf.

I'd imagine that adapter is for the earlier canister type filter (most places never went to the across the motor type).
the tab on the link to the left is where the idle up plunger hits, if it's similar to the 2F...
Though the filter is the lesser of concerns, is the remote, for lack of a better term, filter doable?
Way I understand it, there's little difference beyond the base, to any corresponding OE non-US 2F.
the aisan 3f carb ,when tuned right is amazingly smooth and trouble free and will operate at some extreme angles.
Most of those vacuum hoses are for the aircon fast idle up,its quite simple once you understand it. I think some go to the charcoal canister and distributor?
the internals, linkages and castings for the secondary are all the same between the 2f and 3f carbs.
The only major difference is the 3f accelerator pump is activated by way of a cable and the cast iron base has a different bolt pattern. (the only reason i know this is because i have roscos old carb) :d
that being said, are you sure you are diagnosing the problem correctly? The secondary is activated by internal vacuum at very high rpms and heavy load (around 2,600 on the 2f and not just free revving) do a few searches, the info pertaining to the 2f secondary should be able to help you with the 3f.![]()
it will look like a non north american cruiser. This is my 3f in a 73 series before the diesel swap. It sure makes them simple to fix:d the 4 hoses on the right are related to the aircon fast idle

hey rosco, what is that thing on the intake mani close to the engine? Is that a vac line or a electric switch?

that's a vacuum port for a/c high idle.
snorkle it![]()
that air can looks an aweful lot like the fj62 bottom with a carb'd top plate and feed hose/elbow...WHY NOT?
