I didn't and went with my dopey way of trusting the guy cause I have met him on previous occassions ......
I'm out $200+ odd $$.......
For an alum glove box insert that don't fit in my rig....
What sucked for me wasn't the $$ lost...It was the insert not fitting cause it looked (still does) so good, finish and all... and not hearing from said company after trying to contact them...
Good luck to those trying to get their $$$ back... really hope yah all do....

There is a recent post in the 60 section pointing to Wits End as a vendor. I reported it asking it be deleted as this site should be protecting members from scammers such as Wits End. The request was denied. Pretty shameful lack of action by the moderators. You can pimp the goods of a known fraud here, but god forbid you voice your opinion (displeasure) of the current state of political affairs in the world, it'll get deleted in seconds.
There's no question that the Joey Blowers are still in charge here and will aggressively defend his lame ass, despite the mountains of evidence that he's devolved into a piece of human garbage.
Given the current legal status of Joey and Wits End, I'm kinda surprised that he's still trying to operate...
Maybe it's a desperate attempt to sell a few trinkets or bill a few more people before he's forced to shut down for good.

In all fairness, it's not the Moderator's job to police the validity of information on the site or take sides; the mods are here to enforce forum rules and keep conversations on track and in the right bucket.
What we can do is if we see a post that's pointing someone to a Vendor that's proven unreliable is post exactly that - Pretty sure a sentence stating that Wit's End is currently subject to bankruptcy proceedings or a link to this thread would protect the person asking the question, educate the user who pointed the requester to Wit's End and avoid devolving the conversation to name calling. Just because we are reading this thread doesn't mean that the information is well known. There are plenty of Cruiser owners I know that are active on these forums that have no idea. TBH, "Bad Sellers" wasn't a section of this forum I'd ever spent any time in until this came up with WE and I was thinking about buying a turbo.

There was a new member asking about Wit's End pricing. I said you might want to check out the bad sellers before ordering, I got a thank you from him later as he had no idea what was going on.
It's up to us to inform members that aren't aware of what going on !!

A lot of people dont read every post. So quoting the post with what I will cringe fully call "mis-information" and correcting it with a link to this thread still keeps the suggestion to buy at Wits End out in public view as a trap for a non-seasoned forum user to fall into which is unacceptable at this point given what we all know. Mods spend enough time on the site to know Wits End is a fraud, it's not an opinion. Allowing any support of Wits End as a vendor to continue on this site makes the forum just as culpable as Joey IMO. I am not a proponent of censorship, but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade and do what's best for the community.
If someone skips through a thread and misses some of the important information, I don't feel too bad for them if they make an uninformed decision. That's entirely self inflicted.
It's not the Mods (or this forum ownership's) job to pass judgement on WE. That's what we have a court system for.
That was me. Personally. 99.9% of the time, these types of issues are handled by me. Personally.
Guess what? The masses helped educate that member. That's how the forum works, and that's how it should work.
There is no benefit to censoring that type of info and hide it from the membership.

Where does one acquire this fine decal?
Sort of - he didn't file it was ordered by a Judge as a result of people he owes money to filing an involuntary petition against him.
All the court docs are online.
Has there been an update? Last I saw it was a petition for bankruptcy and the first hearing was scheduled for December 5th.
From what I saw the Judge has ordered Chapter 7, Title 11 bankruptcy. Now there's a whole process that has to be gone through.
