Have all of you that need a windshield tried calling Gerber Collision & Glass in your area or similar service provider and let them go through their sources? This is what I posted in a previous thread.
”I
just had this windshield installed in the Chicago area today by Gerber Collision and Glass (glass company they used was Glass America) I was shocked they could get windshield. Luckily I bought a gasket a year and a half ago from Slocruisers because the guy showed up without a gasket. Price was unbelievable @ $251 + my gasket cost.

Putting this info here and thanks to Pigeaten I tracked down the new windshield glass for a normal price. The part number you need is FW326 and any windshield installer should be able to order a new one. Mygrant is a fairly new company, so I'm told and they are all over the USA , they're the one getting them from China and your local guy can order it through them. It's not an obsolete item, so should be available in the future. My glass guy told me for @ $250 he could put one in. It cost me $500 for glass (through Cruiser Corp) and $175 today for install. :bang:

I believe so, seems cheap to me too. I found most shops around St. Louis didn't even want to mess with it since I had the glass already. This guy is in a small town and drove to my house. He said they could put one in for the 250.

Installing windshields in vehicles with old school rubber gaskets is pretty easy. Need two peeps (I've done it alone), nylon masonry string, soapy water and some good tunes on the radio. See link below. I honestly am more nervous trying to remove a good windshield than install it. That's with the old rubber gaskets. New glued in windshields: safelight repair, safelight replace!!

BTW, if you try this and break your new windshield, it was Scrapdaddy or Pig Eaten's idea...
