Window Rocket - who’s tried it?

Just a follow up following fitting my unit. I ordered it right after Dustins reply above, but only fitted it today as the truck has been away in storage. What a difference it makes! I cleaned the window channels too while I was at it but 95% of the improvement goes to the window rocket. Excellent product, thanks for bringing it to the market.

Ps the relay location was not quite as per the guide on my '96 UK model, but once I figured out which one it was the installation was a breeze.

Yes, I'm curious about the relay issue as well. If possible, I'd love a picture of what caused confusion.

80's all use the same relay panel- LHD, RHD, gasoline, or diesel.

There are variations in the auxiliary relays mounted above and below the relay panel, but the main relay panel is still the same part. And as mentioned a few pages back in this thread- There have been cases where the relay panel has been removed and re-installed upside down.

Installed and works great! I would honestly say the Window Rocket adds about 50-60% more speed to the windows. Install took me about 45 min, turn-key.
I recommend this product

PIP, have you considered making this product for other vehicles that suffer from the same problem?

3rd and 4th gen F-Bodies are known for slow windows and the most common fix is a relay upgrade that does work better, not nearly the difference a Window Rocket makes.

I would've loved to have sumthin like this on my 98 T/A and I think there's definitely a market for it (I'm on way more F-Body forums than Cruiser forums).

I am quite sure that you'd get a lot of takers in the 60/62 community. My 62 has crank windows (which I actually love... one less thing to break), but I know that failing/slow window motors is definitely a thing in the 60 series.

An F-body version MIGHT be a really good deal for you--GM being GM, the same one would most likely fit a whole bunch of other applications.

Ali, If you're waiting for a sale that may be never. The setup and install is as easy as I can think for them, just need to do some contorist work to get to the relay - some of us aren't as young as we once were.

I am stingy and overthink almost every purchase and bought one within a month of first seeing them. (This was fast since I usually do comparisons, checking the vendor out, and of course checking the board and seeing what the hive minds is saying.

It's worth every penny. I'd go so far as to say it's beyond a night and day difference. It's Earth to Mars different.

Well, just a couple of years after replacing the a majority of parts on my windows, the first cold morning this fall had my windows moving abysmally slow again. They were still moving, but we're only talking about temps in the low 40s. I decided avoiding the level of frustration I'd experience tracking down all the corroded connectors was worth the price. I won't say the installation was pleasant, as my neck does not appreciate bending in that direction, but it's in and my windows work like a modern vehicle.
