IMO, Just deal with it, its a 30 yr old truck......

True,. There are reasons why i moved to California...for the weather. But i have taken my rigs to many cold places, over 5000 miles and my windows are slow, but , nothing we cannot deal with..

just installed mine this weekend. What a difference it made. Super happy with the quality of the product and packaging.

Thanks,
ML
I’d say that’s 180° turn, Marco. Good for you! glad you’re enjoying it like the rest of us. It definitely is a quality product and very useful for our old rigs.

I purchased the window rocket, and it works fantastic definitely worth it. Be sure to double check connections when you are in there replacing it because I somehow created a crank no start condition until I figured out, I had disconnected a harness by accident. Took 20mins to install even with the issue. Highly recommend and very good build quality unit.

I was a bit skeptical, but this is a great product. I installed new glass runs along with the Window Rocket unit, and our glass practically flies up and down now. I did try the windows with just the new runs installed and it was slower opening and closing than it was with the runs and the Rocket unit. If you like fast opening and closing windows, get this product with a set of new window runs from Delta.

Hi Dustin,

I'm in the UK, and am looking to get one of these for my 'new to me' truck. Can you confirm what variant i need please as of the 3 options it isn't wholly clear. My truck is a '96 UK spec HDJ80R RHD manual transmission model with ABS. Additionally will it be the same on my Dad's '94, same spec as mine?

Many thanks.

The ABS version will fit both.

Thanks!

Installed a while back. I’m this thing is awesome. I found myself putting the windows up and down just to watch in amazement for the first few days.

Still puts a smile on my face when I roll the windows up.

Actually just searched for the "slow window" issue this morning thinking I would find out that I need to order all new window motors and/or regulators but this thread popped up!

Wow...and congrats to @PIP for figuring this out and bringing it to market. Will be ordering mine as well!

Edit: I did order it...lol.

Got it installed tonight. Took me a bit longer than 30 min as I was struggling with an aftermarket remote start box the PO had installed as well as the OEM wire loom. Basically, I fought and fought until something moved out of the way and I could get the brackets to line up with the stand-offs. This is for a non-ABS left hand drive 80 (PO had ABS deleted).

Anyway, night and day difference.

Any aussies here with a pic of the rocket installed on an FZJ80 you can share?

Thanks
Pete

Thanks @PIP .. I have an LPG ecu that sits around that area. It's not mounted, whoever installed it has it just flapping around there. I need to see if it's possible to mount both the rocket and this in the same area, or if I can mount the LPG ecu closeby in a different location. At least I know now where the rocket will sit, so I can start to work off that. Appreciate it!
