Forum member @Malleus is helping with the FJ62 Window Rocket.

The FJ62 has a very unique power window system. The auto down feature is an independent circuit board.

We are in the "Is it viable stage". So not much to report.

Just installed mine (LHD, ABS) less than 10 min install, works amazingly well. My runs are garbage, I got replacement runs to install next, should be better than new.

Updated with new runs, unbelievable how fast they are. Even at 17 degrees they fly.

Got time to install the Window Rocket today (LHD ABS). This is a high quality upgrade (the windows and sunroof in my wife's 80 work like a modern car now). Beautifully built and designed too. Glad that I bought this and got to support a Mud vendor.

No. It does not effect the door locks.

When I looked at the circuit, the relay also powers the moonroof. My posts #8 and #139

Can confirm. Sunroof/moonroof opens at modern operating speeds now... perviously, it used to crawl. All for dour windows open at modern speeds now too.

The locks DO NOT respond well to increased voltage. They'll be damaged by more than 14 volts.

Sliced bread is pretty great, but Window Rockets have saved marriages, thwarted bear attacks and made countless 80 series fun to daily drive again. I think they're pretty swell, but I'm a bit bias because I build them.

The Window Rocket fits RHD and LHD the same (unless you have lhd w/stickshift). It was developed using a RHD HDJ81 and it will fit perfectly in yours.

Just choose abs or no abs.
