I love the guy cutting firewood ! There's no OHSA out here !!! Cringe...

We had one on the farm when I was small. My Dad and uncle wouldn't let us get near it, ran off a tractor. Cut a lot of firewood with it.

Hey gang, been really busy coaching sports and haven't had time to work on the winch. I found a guy locally who can braze the feet for me but I need to bring to him. Will probably finish this project in November!

Not lately. It's completely disassembled, media blasted, and sitting on my workbench. I need to take it to a local welder to have some of it brazed. Once I do that, then I will start putting it back together.

lol. true. I needed to find a good welder for the cast iron and I have been lazy about it.

Inspiring indeed! What kind of paint did you use and what type of cable?

All the black is powder coated and the hardware was replated yellow zinc.

The cable is 100’ of 3/8 from Amazon and the chain is replated OEM.

Just got back from a camping trip and had to pull a FJ60 sideways out of the mud. The PTO winch never groned. When you need a winch you can count on a PTO to get you out, but they don't stay pretty for long.
