Did a little wheeling on the 9th.... It rained the whole time we were there and was a muddy mess...
I managed to put 5 dents down the side of my 60, tore the mirror off to, and had to straighten the drivers door so the window would roll up all the way :o...
The Taco is the guy i went down there with...

Black Mountain, Harlan Ky

I will be going to Black Mountain, in Harlan Ky next weekend with some folks from CORE... As of right now i think there is about 10 to 15 rigs of all types going... Should be a good time and anybody out there that might be interested in going is more than welcome to join us...

I will be leaving early Friday morning and coming back on Monday sometime... I hitched a ride on a low boy that belongs to a friend in CORE that has a transport business...

If anyone has any questions or needs some more info you can pm or email and i will try to answer any questions, or you can look here for more info too... Harlan, who is staying where? - C.O.R.E. FORUM

Here is where the majority of the pics are from this past weekend in Harlan Ky... It was a great time and the weather ended up being really nice... It rained on us almost all the hole way down there, then about 15 or 20 minutes after we got there the rain quit and the sun came out not long after... We didn't get any more rain the rest of the weekend...

Chris...Now that is how you get your rig moved! glad to hear the rain held off for you. Looks like a great time!

It turned out to be a great weekend.. got a little hot on Sunday, but we were under the canopy of the trees all day so the sun was not beating down on us...

Yea i would have not been able to make the trip if i had not been on that trailer... 100$ for fuel and rode down with one of the guys that was on the trailer too..

Pete... on a side note... if you and your dad would like to come by and look at the tree beside my garage you can give me a call and we can figure something out, or just give my number to your dad if you are working out of town these days...

At least someone from OH is wheeling.

I do what i can for the cause...:D

It was the first time i have been to Harlan and i think anybody that loves to wheel needs to go there... There was a bypass around almost every nasty trail we came to... makes it nice for the non hard core guys....

Chris...thank you for the subtile encouragement, for a non-hardcore guy such as myself.

Marty...do you have your 40 back yet?

:D... I tried a few of the nasty trails, but didn't get to far, that's why there is not that many pics of my 60, i was not in the thick of things with everybody else... No front locker was my biggest downfall...

Chris....whats the word on the diesel swap?

All that is left now is to mount the 2nd battery and get it wired... i'm mounting the solenoids under the hood since it has a wireless remote..

Can't decide if i want to weld the bumper on or fight with drilling some more .5" holes in some tight spots...

Opinions, comments, suggestions are welcome...

thanks Chris

Please don't weld the bumper to the frame. The bumper is too strong and will crack the welds or crack the flexible frame right by the welds.

I don't really care what you do, except we will discover the fatigued welds when your truck is winching my truck up a cliff in KY. That would bring the suck. :frown:

And for your entertainment, here's a pic of my shortbus at CMCC last week.
