@atomicshawn

That is a very nice cruiser!! 👌
Looks like an awesome trip too
Thanks! The truck is like an old friend. I picked it up in 2009 w/45k miles. It has 230k on it now. And while I've taken pretty good care of it (e.g., fluid changes religiously, always using highest grade parts and products, washed and scratches rubbed out of it and waxed by hand with some regularity, garaged or covered parking, etc...), the truth is, for well over a decade now we have beat the living hell out of it again and again ...overloaded and blasted through the desert for weeks at a time in the sweltering heat, literally jumped it a few times with all 4-wheels off the ground, accidentally dropped it off a lift once, my wife's daily driver who for some reason finds it necessary to floor it everywhere she goes, dozens of trips up the insanely steep, engine murdering, overly salted road to Powder Mountain ski resort every year... And it's never been painted or had bodywork, and it still looks great, and it runs like it's new, has proper highway manners. The machine is absolutely amazing. ...but I suppose I don't have to tell you folks that.

@Box Rocket
…I always think I take pretty good trail pictures. Then I see Adam’s 🤩

you all out west are very lucky to have access to so much remote and beautiful land. I'm reminded of that every time I try to explore on the east coast.

two weeks ago I went on a trip into Virginia only to get completely shut out. I hit 8 gates, two private property signs, all campgrounds closed. Ended up having to camp in a trail head parking lot
Very true. I’m from GA but been out here in AZ for 20years now… occasionally when you get caught up with work and kids and everything else you have to remind yourself that people come from all over the world to spend time in the outdoors right here in the southwest.

That’s dope!

🧐 …but there’s something sinister about it… like those pictures you see in the news when the feds seize a pallet of drug money in dusty old warehouse… And it kinda gives me that same sickly feeling I get when I go to the zoo …or to the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum 😞

😂

Looks like an awesome family trip! So many questions for you as I plan something similar with my little crew. Thanks for posting up!
I'm no local expert to most of these places but i typically put a lot of research on these trips including lots of time searching previous Mud trips :D. I'd be happy to share my experiences.
