Paul, doing this same job plus shocks all around tomorrow. One part I would add would be the rear stabilizer bar bushings. Part#
48815-60140 (x2).

That PN # is in my OP parts list for non AHC.
AHC vehicle use a different (lighter) rear stabilizer bar and so different PN# for those bushing.

Removing & installing is a  two hour job for front & rear. Stabilizer bar is not generally needed, links often are.

This is awesome! I've gone through this list looking to refurb the sway bars on my LX - anyone know if there are any other different part numbers for the LX beside the rear sway bar bushings? (LX part 48815-26250)

IIRC that is only rubber PN that is different.

But you should always use your VIN # to order parts (check numbers) this is good place for that: www.partsouq.com Sometimes prices are good also, but watch the shipping cost.

Any ideas on how to get the front stabilizer bar out without removing the torsion bars? I’ve been under this thing for over an hour wiggling it in every direction but free

It may help if you raise front end, I don't recall if I did. But,It will come out without removing TBar.

Imagine the bar is shaped like a banana. You’ve got to feed one end “forward” then route out the opposite end, kinda working with the curve as you go. There’s a post here describing it in detail. I’ll see if I can find a link

Hi all, I am new here. Can anyone here tell me how many mm is the stabilizer bar inner hole diameter ? Thanks alot.

Welcome-

Revert back to page 1 post#8 for your answer. Post#10 has additional detail on the link measurement.

Good luck.

Finished this job last night. The rear is pretty straightforward, but here are some tips that may help with the front:

- Order 4 of 90119-08B50, these are the bolts that hold the brackets against the bushings. The A/C lines drip onto the passenger side ones and can rust them out, but all mine were crusty and I felt they were going to snap at any minute as I was removing them.
- A ratcheting wrench would make removing the bushing brackets much easier, as the torsion bars are in the way of getting a socket onto some of them.
- After reassembling everything, line up all the bolts in their holes and tighten in waves - say 20% on each bolt, moving across the sway bar, then go back and do another 20%. I thought I had all mine lined up, then tightened bolt 1 100%, 2 to 100%, etc. Got to the end and one of the bolts hadn't lined up with a captive nut on the other side, and I had to remove all the bolts again.

Sorry if this was mentioned.. I didn't see if it was. Does anyone know the bolt size/pitch for the link at lower control arm? My new links didn't come with any, and the original is quite stuck and rounded. I see the part number and can get it online, I'm just hoping to get 2 new ones/similar at ace much quicker.
Thanks

Besides visual signs of bushings wear, what are the symptoms in drivability for worn rear and front sway bar links?
Changing my rears didn’t have a noticeable effect (pretty sure all rubber was original at 275k) but the fronts made a huge improvement to my vague, wandering steering feel.

Do I have to lift the truck off the ground to do these bushings? I only have the factory jack:/
