Put on some lightforce 170's but have not wired them up yet. Should I have them on a separate switch than my fog lights or have them come on at the same time?

Looks sweet Brad. I would definitely wire them up to a separate switch. The LightForce wiring harness is pretty nice and worth the 40-50 bucks IMO. This way you can run your fogs lights anytime you want, since you want to use these on road. You have to be careful about running the auxiliary lights on road. If a cop wants to be a jerk they will write you a ticket for them. I have emailed a state trooper about this and technically they classify as "auxiliary lights" and you are allowed to run up to two of them with your headlights, as long as they are not higher than your headlights.

Any reason why you went with blue filters? From what i have read, those are supposed to help your vision in snow.

Clear or yellow would be better for around this area.

Brad is moving to Colorado. He just doesn't know it yet. It's a sign... :)

Yeah I do have the lightforce harness I just have not had a chance to wire it yet and I will probably wire them seperate the more I think about it. But the reason I got the blue covers is thats what the guy at Sierra expeditions recommended, said it makes it a more clear :meh: we will see I guess.

Looks good Brad! Your lucky you guys that all live in BR and can help each other out. All I got is Kevin and Grouper so I don't think I'll ever get my fog lights wired unless I bug Bart, but he does so much around here for so many I feel bad asking him for another favor. I should have stuck a knife in Kevins tire while I was waiting for my car this morning at Delta tires. :grinpimp::flipoff2:

haha I am actually looking for a job at a National park (or something similar)soon for when I go back to school. colorado is on the list of places I would want to work :D

C'mon out!

Finally got word that the back ordered pieces for my extended sway bar links are in and Mark from Red Eye Fabrication is really doing his part to try to get them here before I leave for the FJ Cruiser Summit

I have bought a few things from there, i think i got my light force 240s from there as well. Will is a really nice guy.

Yellow is best for dust from what i have used. That is what i encounter more than anything. With the 170s you can also get the full dispersion lens instead of the combo pencil/dispersion. The 240s with clear lenses are literally like pencil beams out to a lonnnnnnng distance.

I changed a bulb in the passenger rear tail light that had looked dim and turned out to be hot when I took it out - my first wrenching on this cruiser ;p
