Well, I've been back for a couple weeks now... Got my WKOR sliders painted and mounted, as well as a 9500# Superwinch installed up front. I'm ready for Chinaman!

Well I have been doing some ghetto stuff to the cruiser. I bought some tarps and mounted them to the roof rack in case it downpours I can drop them down pretty quick. I don't think I could really drive with them but at least if it's bad I can wait it out. I also cut the fenders a bit since I had some rubbing on them on the last outing to rampart on Saturday afternoon. Not sure I like it but the only other option is taking them completely off and I am not sure about doing that yet. With all the mud up there I am surprised it didn't get that dirty inside as I also washed it out. My son had a good point. he said we don't need the snorkel since we can't go in the deep water because of the tube doors. I told him not to tell mom that and that it will help with the dust. I am also waiting on a cheap lockable metal box to show up to bolt down in the back so no one can steal anything. The rear shocks shoes up today so I through those on and gave it a test drive and it is awesome. Going for an alignment tomorrow after work.

After getting the shocks on I noticed my armor for them needed to be trimmed down. The shocks are a little thicker higher up, so I got the grinder out and cut them down. Then I had to paint them so they won't get rusty. It was a long day for me today. I am looking forward to some wheeling.

Besides lifting the 100, I gave the spare a bit of a lift too.

I was only able to lift it 1¼", but it seems to have made an acceptable difference. I also like the front of the spare is now tilted up a bit rather than tilted down as it was before.

Thinking of fabbing up some sort of skid plate for the spare...

Those shocks look sweet! It'll be hard for me to wait until the shocks that came with my lift wear out to replace them with performance units. Too many other places to spend money right now, need to get a spare tire carrier before anything else. Speaking of which, Travis, that's a huge difference. Looks like way more than an inch and a quarter. I guess the angle being different make a big difference too. This is what I love about planning a tougher trail run, everyone always makes a mad thrash to get their junk bulletproof and ready to go... All that stuff you been meaning to do anyway :)

Lol. I think my shocks will be ok. You could probably bring both OME's and sell them. They have to be better than stockers.

It's night three of the Tcase skid plate build over at my house, I'm not happy about it. Discovered after getting a vehicle with massive aftermarket support, that I would rather just buy stuff and bolt it on. Metal fab is just too time consuming. Unfortunately, nobody makes a skid that works with my Iron Rock long arm kit though. Oh we'll, back to work. Sigh.

Consider yourselves in. I will start a thread a month before we go. Make sure your life insurance is paid up. Matt, we talked last year about making a camping trip to St. Vrain canyon, you still interested? Been wanting to get back up there.

In other news...

My dad must have had more fun than I thought on the China Wall trip last month. He bought this today:

Trying to convince him to join us on Chinaman's this weekend. :D

That thing is fricken sweet. He should bring it with. I probably wouldn't if I just got it but dang that's nice. Luke yes I would like to go, we just need to decide on a weekend that works or maybe take a day off as well. I need to work it in with the wife's schedule as I am more flexible and she needs some notice. We will have to talk about Blanca this weekend as some Fjc's showed interest when I brought it up to them a few weeks ago. They tried to get a run together a year ago but the weather and schedules didn't work out as there wasn't that many that wanted to actually give it a go.
