I am running a 13.75" wide tire on stock wheels for the last 30k miles. So a 9" wide wheel would work well with those tires IMO.

Perfect. Thanks!

I ordered some 17 x 9" rims from discount tire. Still undecided if I weld in DIY beadlocks onto them. Don't know if it is the right backspacing.... really hard to figure out where the tire will be.

I pulled the front fenders off, to be able to cut and trim the inner fenders. I ended up reworking the inner fender front quite a bit. All cut welded and painted.

Well, headache time.... I just spent 5 days early last month trying to get the brakes working on my friends rig, Lexi....

Well, I recall now that Foo's brakes were doing the same thing last year. So, I tried the power bleeding method and it still goes to the floor. This is like IT part 2. So frustrating.

I know that when I had this in the shop last year, all the brake fluid dripped out of the master for a month or two, so I am going to pull the master and bench bleed it tonight to see if that makes a difference.

Need help.. Where can I get a steel wheel? The Vision is nationally backordered, so I need to find something.

Needs to be steel as I am going to weld in beadlockers.

I need 17 x 9 6x5.5 +12 offset or anything positive offset.

closest thing I can find to the Vision soft 8 which was +12 offset is a us wheel 042-8960

thanks @woytovich looks like the 97-7983 is a -6 offset.

Have you looked at Summit? They seem to have every size, width, offset...

I ordered steel wheels from Summit years ago and was able to pick the backspacing i wanted, Just give them a call and they can help you directly. I think i'm just running standard offset Soft 8 steel wheels now and they work great.

2mmx1.25 pitch
@2fpower I'm confused (no surprise there)... you are looking for +12mm offset?... what axle/tire are you using where that'll work?

I have to say that it is amusing talking to Discount Tire or Summit about wheels.... First thing they ask is what year model car. I explain that is not going to help, as it is an offroad rig with a different axle under it. They persist it is a starting point, so I tell them and the next fifteen minutes I spend explaining they cannot look at anything the computer is telling them.

So I tell them, Volvo military portal axles with 5" drop that are wider than stock axles, so I need tire/wheel sucked into the car.... Then they just get quit and say they can't help.

Have Pit bull Rocker 39.5" Tires

Ordered a set of these. The DIY beadlock kit should be here by Friday, and hopefully these will too. Have a wheeling event the last weekend of the month, so need to get these going.....

On the braking issue, have two trains of thought......

I have at all 4 corners big wilwood 4 pot brakes, so wondering(actually idea from @kc_chevota ) if I have too much fluid needs for a 1" master. I will reach out to wilwood to see their thoughts.

I also discovered that the advants BMT090 is a rebranded Aisen OEM master. For only $70 going to try that. I had been buying Cardone, but if you can go OEM for $10 more... why????

Just talked to Wilwood, and using four of those big pot calipers, they agree I need a bigger master. So, I will swap a smaller rear on.

Currently have 120-6815 wilwood on front and rear.

will swap rear to 6805. 3 cubic inch piston area vs. 4.8 on the larger one.

Put on a master cylinder from a tundra, inch and an eighth bore, fixed all the problems

M900870. Raybestos

Only issue is that it doesn’t come with the reservoir, however a reservoir from a T 100 fit. An 80 reservoir does not fit
