I have been running Land Rover Discovery II seats for 6 months and I absolutely love them. I could never go back to not having an armrest. The stacked sliders gives me all the legroom in the world. Sits a little higher, I am 6'1", I would not want to sit any higher.

why do you think i got rid of them?.....hahahahha!

I would also give FJC seats two thumbs down in the comfort department, also they are heavier than a boat anchor. Ya the side bolster thing also cause them to wear quickly. I have PRP seats in my Tacoma, and recently had to change sides with them due to wear on the piping from sliding over the edge of it. The "sport seat" might be better in that aspect.

I looked into junkyard seats. Anything that looked nice was the same cost (around $500 a pair) as new aftermarket seats. Everything affordable looked like someone died in them. The ones in the pics below are $600 a pair.

600 a PAIR? why not include the info on those pictured...

On the wedge seat brackets. On the LX450 there is a heater/blower under the passenger seat.

Anyone know if the wedge bracket clears this?

Thanks.

I believe @NC LX has these brackets with Kia seats recently installed with plans to go recaro later. Ordered them as blanks and drilled his own holes.
A little late but I can confirm this. About 5,000 miles and 5 months later, Zero back problems. Several 4-8 hr trips in them.

They ended up coming with the holes for the Recaros and the Kia holes actually matched perfectly.

I just ordered the Wedge bracket with double locking slider for the FJ80 and a SCAT Elite 80-1100-52 from eBAY. Both front seats have seat covers on them now, but the driver is in much worse condition. I just chose to camouflage the new gray vinyl seat with the current seat cover, and no one will be able to tell the difference. The stock seat is so worn, my left cheek rides at least an inch lower than my right, and it's throwing my rear and back all outta wack... I'll let you know if the ~$500 upgrade is successful/worth it.

@Gunsmoke76 did you ever get around to installing these? I've had my eye on the SCAT Elite Lumbar since my FJ62.

Ok, so you're saying you have 2012 Kia Soul seats...

You ordered Wedge Landcruiser brackets, and got the Recaro slider option.

What did you have to modify/remove to put the seats in?
Anything weird, or was it a just a straight bolt on deal?
Kia seat bases are flat and simple?

I'm thinking about getting the Planted brand Landcruiser seat base.
Guess I would get Recaro compatible sliders then?
The Planted bases have Recaro holes pre drilled I think.
