These guys, from McMaster Carr:

97482A209 Aluminum Domed Head Solid Rivets, 5/32" Diameter, 0.375" Long, packs of 250

Were the OEM roof rivets steel or aluminum? Is there concerns with unlike metals reacting with one another installing an aluminum rivet into a steel gutter?

Just curious because my roof is shot, and this is in my future.

I was definitely wondering about that while assembling, but am hoping that it won't be a big issue. The majority of the raingutter that the aluminum rivets contact is coated in a few layers of primer, and the gutter will get seam-sealed up top before the whole things gets painted. My understanding is that exposure to a corrosive environment (water, road salt) accelerates any type of galvanic corrosion, so I'm thinking there'll be very little of that type of exposure. Time will tell, I guess!

Aluminum rivets in a steel panel is in the opposite direction of good design (small active surface in contact with large inactive surface). However if sealed up to keep O2 and water out, it should be fine.

Definitely this. Relative surface area between cathode and anode is important, making aluminum fasteners in steel a no-no. But galvonic corrosion can’t occur if it’s sealed up well.

Noted! So I guess the answer to my initial question was - Toyota used steel rivets.

I guess I didn’t think about the fact that those rivets won’t see the light of day for another 40 years or so, so I’d agree, the mixed materials/galvanic corosion is probably a moot point.

Fot my fuel system back together, and got some much needed parts installed or reinstalled.

I was up skiing wolf creek this past week and spotted your rig from the road. Great week!

We put the sides and rear lift up door on, not that it's really going to make driving it all that much warmer here in Washington... or drier! Now it's time to concentrate on the fiberglass... a bunch of broken bolts so the metal has to come off. Got my rivets, sikaflex, seam-sealer and a buddy to paint it. Wish me luck.

Lookin damn fine!

Put the OEM seats back in, also had to cut a hole in the mounting bracket for the Tuffy console so the heater lines could pass through.
