Ya I got this gauge working and it doesn't read correctly. It says its charging 16 volts which freaked me out. Turns out actual is 14.3. So I ordered a higher quality gauge. I ordered a Faria gauge also this time around.

I've not used mine yet, but they appear to be decent Quality for a reasonable price... I didn't want junk, but I also didn't want to hack up an expensive gauge.

Thanks. @SW20 , I think you should try one of these. If @Racer65 hasn't already shipped my weatherstrips, he can put them in the box with the booster and drop ship the whole thing to Burbank. That would be efficient.

Well this weekend managed to scrounge a couple of mounting plates that I needed for the front bumper It's becoming a bit of a treasure hunt
for the bits as I find out I need them. Starting to enjoy the hunt Meeting a lot of contacts along the way

I am becoming very discouraged.every thing that I have done to my 40 it seem I need to redo. It looks like I will have to pull the front of the engine apart again.the first time was when the oil slinger came apart so I changed everything and now it's leaking oil. Then the biggest disappointment is the new transmission and transfer case that I installed.i installed a new rear main seal alone with new metric oil plugs.i now still have a oil leak from the rear of the engine. And I might have installed the shifter wrong .i can shift all three gear but it very loose.

Went to local car event and saw a local fj40 that I didn't recognize and would like to figure out how we can recruit them into our ONSC club.

Yellow and really tastefully built and very capable. See around minute 1:10min and PM me if u know who's it is. It had a TLCA sticker luckily.

Finished plating bolts, nuts and hardware for PTO rebuild, using a Caswell kit. Also, got yoke seal grove damage polished out and painted.

It's kind of a dark pic but by far THE most important thing I've ever done with the 40.....taught my daughter how to drive a stick shift. She thought it was awesome driving a "retro" FJ40

I added an auxillary fuel tank. Put the filler behind the spare tire swing out.
