Where do you live @pngunme, lot going on there...sorry to hear about the girl but happy Noone else was hurt considering all the crap going on ie.. dallas.

I ran my truck for a half hour stopped at the parents came out and turned the key and all I heard was rapid clicks from starter selinoid.. I run a sbc350 with a mt10 High torque starter. Waited 20 min and finally it cranked. Whew no tow today. Never had heatsoak or weird starter problems like that.. so took it home and checked voltage from battery next day to ensure battery was not bad or going bad(optima red top). All was good 12.8. Cranked her and she started right up. I them decided to go through the entire wiring to the starter including all grounds.. cleaned them and points of attachment. Put dielectric grease on them too. Some were bad. I then ran her for a hour and got her good and hot ... got home let her rest for 15 min and cranked her no problems. So it seems like it was a bad or coroded grounds or starter wiring. We'll see if not looks like a starter rebulid

Replaced some rusty metal.

Here, in the real world... This is the kinda of crap that goes on daily, nowadays.

In my example, the girl put herself into a bad situation... Bad choices, bad hangouts, bad people... Driving some guys high dollar Mercedes.

But, often it's a completely innocent party... Targeted for who knows why... Maybe they said something... Maybe they stared too long... Maybe their car indicated they had money... Maybe there were rumors they had money or drugs... Maybe they simply looked like an easy mark.

Pay attention... Always.

Drove 100 miles to pickup the kids from a week long summer camp (camp fowler) and drove 100 miles back ... It rained most if the trip... 300 miles worth of rain :meh:

Saw "The Leather Guy"
The Leather Guy, Mayfield, New York

The guy previously known as the leather guy now identifies with Daniel Boone ... And hence we shall call him now The Daniel Boone who looks like the leather guy without glasses

Had to stop for a coffee relieving break

After many years of being away from it, picked up "The 40" from Texas to move to Florida with my future Wife. Woohoo! Had the misfortune to see an identical U-Haul truck and auto transport blow a tire, jack-knife, and flip over on its side going westbound on I-10. Luckily, the people inside made it out without a scratch, and so did the Land Cruiser. My Fiance's Corolla is in the foreground.

Ugh that Uhaul and trailer on it's side just turns my stomach... Glad all were OK though.

Well did a bit of work on the FJ. Drained the rear and front diff's. The rear came out looking like i expected. The front...not so much. Nice grey color to it and definitely something different than the rear as the two fluids stayed separated in the drain pan. O well planned on rebuilding the axles anyways. Did notice the relay rod looks bent. Just not sure since it has a FJ60 power steering box so not sure if it came bent like that or the PO hit something.

Painted POR-15 Hardnose dark grey on my running boards, Aussie morror arms, and small wiper motor cover. Finally have it through my skull I need to thin the epoxy next time I shoot it.

Also sprayed the bezel with custom mixed cygnus 033 2K from a rattle can. Got it from APS Tower Paint. Spendy stuff but much better quality than Cruiser Corps paint.

Took it wheeling, washed the cow pucky off and just intalled the cured parts.
