When I was still driving mine even in my 20s I would get wore out driving long highway distances keeping it straight especially when the road was rutted by the trucks. Looking forward to driving with power steering and less moving parts in the steering.
Did you go traditional PS or electric? Mine's RHD and sourcing all the parts for the 2H looks much more involved than the electric kit. And the electric kit assist can be turned up or down.

No, I went with a LHD FJ105 steering box, modified FJ80 shaft and u-joints, shortened the steering column, and high steering arms. I also used DOM tubing for the relay and tie rods, and FJ80 TIEs.
My Cummins R2.8 crate motor came with a PS pump.
I drove my 40 across the country and back in the early 90's.....mud tires and no radio

Did a week driving the HZJ77 through the white mtns.....similar ride/same steering feel except its power steering.
Scored an OEM soft top frame assembly. Complete with rear brackets for mounting. Getting ready to clean it up and paint to match my 40.
Now if I could just find a nice fitting top!!! I may buy a nice sewing machine and try my luck. Would really like to make a full front to back sun shade cover. Brutal here in the Texas sun lately!

Typically do between 200 and 300 miles per day at 50 or 55, keeping an eye on oil pressure, water temp, MAF temp and volts.
When MAF temp gets over 112 I get nervous. Will be building a better heat shield for the sniper in the next week or so

You might try removing a leaf from each pack. Much cheaper than a new suspension.
Worked wonders for the OME springs in mine.

I renewed my Hagerty policy for another year.
Went through some boxes that came with the truck and found the intake hoses and the EDIC. The assembly matches what’s is shown here on partsouq. The bracket seems like it’s for a different engine, I don’t see anywhere on the block where this is supposed to mount.
Going to have to figure out what bolts/spacer I need to mount this to the intake manifold instead.

Got the Vintage Air Gen 5 installed and boy was it worth it. I drove it last sunday here in Las Vegas, NV and it was 116 outside blowing 35 inside. I didn't even have the air on all the way. I also did Kilmat under the floor mats. Worth it.
This is one of the next steps on mine.
Do it. Worth every penny. I attempted to go with a 16" spal electric fan in lieu of the mechanical fan, but there isn't enough clearance even by moving the radiator closer to the block. Just an FYI. I stuck with mechanical. It is noticeably slower though. Not that it was fast before by any means, but the ol' girl lost a little pep in her step. Tops out at 60 now rather than 65.
