So. I am assuming that the difference in speed on your GPS APP and your gauge were the same on freeway speeds and around town speeds if moving at a constant rate?

Yes…a perfect linear line up to about 75

Yes just turned it around to fit that triangle. Even used the same hole from it being mounted on the A pillar only now instead of vertical, they are horizontal

I installed an old aux tank that I've had for a while in the 78. I'm not sure if it's a Downey or some other fab shop? Anyone recognize it?
Been wheeling 40s for 40 years and always wished I had more fuel capacity but couldn't bring myself to take the hole saw to the tub... so I hid it under the 4Wheel emblem
With the low fill neck position, it fills slow at the pump, but I'm a patient man...
Next, I'll fab an inner fender to protect the filler hose.

After weeks of searching I have found an aftermarket solution for the broken dipstick union on the 2H. What I thought was 13x1.5mm was actually 1/4 BSPT. Never heard of this one before but it’s pretty close if you’re eyeballing your manual calipers. I'm still in paint jail but working on some bits and bobs. But needed to modify this emblem for the Vintage Air Gen IV i have. But decided in chopping up this stupid expensive OEM emblem that I would 3D print a spacer.. Then I wondered If I could find a way to fit some LED's in there. Still not on the final version. But am Excided to modernize the front grill a bit.

Like the rest of my parts that I'm designing (speaker enclosures, snorkel airboxes, PS line organizers, Ash tray replacement knobs, ETC) I might sell a couple of these on the side since the minimum order quantity for the parts is 10 to start.

Tire shop was skeptical about putting the 32x11.5 on the 5.5 wheel.

Looks so much better than the 90’s truck wheels. The paint looks lighter outside in the daylight. Searching for a fifth wheel to finish for a spare.

A little this a little that. Working on restoring the radiator air directing thingy’s (technical term), that bolt between the radiator and grill. Using high temp silicone. Painted the metal and will attach these once it’s cured for a few days.

Another, another thread revival because I wanted to share how I've 'restored' the factory airflow blocker brackets that sit on either side of the radiator. Hopefully this helps those with A/C better cool their 40's if they want to refesh these or build something similar.

My theory on the purpose is the factory A/C condenser blocked a significant amount of airflow from reaching the radiator so Toyota installed these brackets to force airflow through the radiator/condenser vs. hitting the condenser and escaping around the sides. On my truck these were still in place (same as the photo...

I never would have figured. I have vintage air on the 68, and yes on hot days, with the AC on, it struggles to stay under 200 degrees. I wonder if the airflow ‘thingy’s’ would help…..sounds like it’s time to experiment

That is some sweet craft on the 4WD emblem gas filler!! Love how some old cars hid them behind the taillights/plates/emblems and such.

New fuel lines, installed a Wilwood proportioning

valve on the rear disc brake line, pulled the top off, installed a happy dog. Good week.

I swapped out my body mounts. Not to be dramatic, but I hated every minute of it. It's never as easy as replacing the old with the new. Some had to be cut out; some bolts broke, leaving them trapped in a tough spot. I ended up having to punch out a few with an air hammer. Oh yeah, and Energy Suspension provides these super nice metal plates with a welded-on nut. They're really nice in every area except spot #1, where they are too thick. Took some modification and a ton of curse words to get them in there.

In the event you happen to break a bolt when removing the old rusted ones, I pray for you.

Yes! It's one of the best single purchases I've done with less struggles it sounds like (technically, I've done it twice-once with ES, the second with CruiserCult's offerings).
