No, mine arrived welded shut. Though they left the drains. When I do my frame off I may just cut it all out and weld it smooth. You just painted the old one and reinstalled?
Was included in the Autometer watertemp gauge package...@cims1970fj40 …as I remember correctly, Red Line has the threaded adapter bushing to mount the coolant temperature sending unit on top of the head..which is where mine is on my ‘75 2F…

I put on the same tires and wheels with hubcaps. I really like them.It was a rollercoaster of a day, and bittersweet. I took off work, and arrived at Discount Tire as they opened at 8am. The goal was having the new OEM rims and Kenda Klever RT 33x9.5R15 on the truck for the car show at the local Toyota Dealer, along with the OEM hubcaps. So right off the bat, Discount Tire would not mount 9.5 inch tires on 5.5 inch rims. It had to be 6 inch rims according to their computer. Wow. So I ran over to a local shop, Ringo Tire, but they were just covered up with business and couldn't help. So, I check my local Toyota, and they were happy to do it, and did not charge very much, I got out of there with valve stems, tires mounted on the rims and "road force" balanced, and installed on the truck, for just over $100. BUT it died on me on the way over to the dealership. Last time it randomly died I had ash fouling on the plugs, so checking on that came later. But, here are some pictures:

After I got home, I was going to wire in the 3rd brake light, but I was missing a terminal that I needed, so moved on. There was a brake fluid leak on my new rims at the back right, so I took off the drums, but I did not have a spare for the wheel cylinder that was leaking. So I put it back together and adjusted the wheel cylinders (I may need more practice on that). Next I pulled the spark plugs, but they were not fouled, so now I don't know why it died, maybe a failing pertronix, or maybe that wire that pulled lose from the starter, so that is in my near future to figure out. But anyway, at 4:30 I loaded up to head to the car show. And I must have adjusted the shoes too tight, because about 3 miles down the road it was obvious I was burning DOT3. I pulled over and sure enough, it was smokin! I did not have a good enough screwdriver with me to back off the cylinders, or maybe they were just too hot and seized, IDK. So, I had to limp it home about a mile at a time with stops to let it cool. I've just finished ordering new wheel cylinders online, and after all that I missed the car show. So, that's been my day. Bittersweet like I said, but I do like how the new rims look. Just more fun stuff to do. Ya'll have a great weekend!
Thanks for the looking out. That’s one of the items I bought.@cims1970fj40 …as I remember correctly, Red Line has the threaded adapter bushing to mount the coolant temperature sending unit on top of the head..which is where mine is on my ‘75 2F…

I can’t wait for this feeling myself.
Any info on your swap?
Line item 1 combo 2, Rochester carb, Delco dizzy, and 6 into one header = $250.00. Such a deal. Seemed like a good choice to improve performance (at the time).

Yeah Buff, that sage is probably one of the most attractive colors I’ve seen.Took her for the first road test in 25 years up to LOWES and a fill up of some go go juice. Couldn't get out of the parking slot before being stopped by three people who absolutely loved it. Again at the gas station and down the road thumbs and rubber necking!! Crazy attention these things get

Yea I bought that power combo in 1981, the header rusted out in about a year, the dist and carb had probably been rebuilt a dozen times. Pure junk. The only difference I saw was every time I turned left, the engine hiccuped, and on steep climbs gasoline poured out of the carb and it flooded/stalled and died. Other than that it was great LOL !I have a magazine from back in the day I think it’s advertising “combo 2” as there “The Man-A-Fre 50 Hp Combo”
